Wow my first experience after a week of being on an online dating site what a lesson, but some how I feel that I have been violated by exposing some of my life and who i am and also feel sorry that the very person who's photos and life I thought I was talking to has probably been me at some point too.I am usually quite savvy and can't believe how quickly I got drawn in.

A shame I did not know where to look when I thought something didn't sound quite right and even worse tonight as I used google reverse image after finding that the scammer had a facebook page it lead me to scamwarners and a post on Christ Jurish,[email protected] from 14 June 2012 and there were two of the same images I had been sent. I also have several more images and the thing that shocked me more was they were about to con me even more when I said i would love to see a picture of his dog called Bruno and surprisingly enough from the post on June there was a photo of the dog with the owner.

Supposedly the scammer said he worked in sales for a computer company selling Dell,Compaq and HP to large companies. He was divorced and his ex wife and girl friend had been addicted to drugs. His Mother had died in a car crash in Beaumont 5yrs ago and his Father had died in Kular Lumpur on a business trip last September , but his Fathers lawyer had asked him to fly next week to Malaysia.

Scammers email:
Good Day xxxxx and happy Tuesday to you sweetie...sorry i'm just replying even though i got your message late Monday night but was too tired to reply, just walked in through the door when the thought of you ran through my head and i thought i should check if you have written.Yes,replying through the email is more better honey and we could make use of the yahoo messenger to chat when you re free as well.I went to the beach on Saturday to relax and watch the waves then did some bbq,it was very interesting even though i miss that special woman around me.Went to church on Sunday and visited some of my client.got home around 11pm and was very tired though i have to admit that i don't keep late night..its kinda scary out there at times lol.

I must confess that i have a lot of good qualities and also alot of good thing to offer the right woman..i don't cheat, play head games among others..i'm a very loving man, easy going, passionate, affectionate and i have all it takes to spoil a woman rotten but i end up getting let down talking from past experience.Yes,that is reallie me in the picture and i will send some more hopefully i get some in return..like is said earlier, life is too short to play games around..Why will i ever sit here and pour my heart to you,its because i'm lonely and i want a good woman in my life, someone i can call mine.i will see into verifying my profile through the website if that is the case.

I do speak a bit of Spanish not German but more better in writing Spanish since both re entirely different what about you?I do ski a lot when i go to the beach so you got me on that one what about you?it's hard seeing women boarding this days because it's very risky lol but i have a very sexy and athletic body that way,i'm always good to go.I have been to the United Kingdom (London),Brussels in Germany,Queensland in Australia and all around the US..lol hopefully one day,we can go non a cruise ship to Bahamas together (Me & U) oh and when it comes to cooking, you don't have to worry about that,i could cook for us all the time while you giving helping hand in the kitchen no problem with that.Do you get to see your best friend often and when was the last time you saw them?

So when was your last relationship?just wondering since you stated that you ve been dating off and on.i just want a woman that would love me for who i am.What are the qualities you are looking for in a man and what do you want in a relationship for it to be a succesful one?

I'm a very affectionate guy and i have no trouble showing it for the right woman. I love to cuddle while watching a good movie and in bed.I love to hug and kiss my woman at anytime and anywhere it could be a store, mall or just on a side walk.i'm looking for something permanent and i know it takes time and a lot of good effort to form a good relationship. I want my woman to be my best friend at all times, my sweetheart, love of my life, my partner and my soul mate all wrapped up into one lovely woman.

Would you move for the right man?i don't have any problem moving for the right woman..all that matters most to me is love and affection then every other thing falls in place.

I'm not trying to ramble here for you but i'm looking for the "One". What does that mean to me? She is the person that i can't wait to meet when i'm back home from work so i can kiss her,sit down and relax in front of the TV or go out and spend the evening together. The person that just calls to see how your day is going but knows that it just got much better because you are talking to each other. I gives her a lift when she is down and can always make her laugh because you know each other so well. The person that can simply lay in bed with her head on my chest and our legs interlocked for hours while we talk about what's on our mind.

I'm ready to support my special woman in every way i can while we grow old together and love each even more and more.

Well, to ask you more questions cos i believe it's when you ask that you know more. so what's your favorite food? what's your favorite color? what makes you upset? what makes you Happy? Thanks for your message again and i hope to hear from you soon.do you have a yahoo messenger?

Hope your day went well.
Hugs and kisses
John
Pictures to come.

I'm saddened this has happened to you. The scammer has simply wasted your time and played with your feelings. Parts of the text you published have been used in countless scam letters previously. For one example, does some of the text look familiar on the page http://www.romancescam.com/forum/viewto ... =5&t=51145
Scammers often rehash the same text over again. I'm sad to say if you have sent money to the scammer via wu, moneygram or other wire type services, your money is gone forever and no refunds are available to you.
However everyone will see your report and others will less likely to become tangled in it's web of lies.

Hi jolly_roger thank you so much for your reply like other people I am grateful for this site and to know I am not the only person who has fallen for this scam or similar.

Thank goodness I realised that the person was completely off and no money was sent, and I never spoke to him on the phone. It amazes me that this person or people are yet to be stopped. I think it is mainly your pride that gets hurt for maybe not realising and then the realisation that you may be the next person's identity, and life that may be used to scammed someone as well.

I also spoke to this person on yahoo chat three times ( no web cam or voice thank god)
so please if anyone wants to talk about this person please ask away. If there are heaps of spelling mistakes and how they phrase things isn't quite right I can vouch that they are likely to be a scammer.

The scammer I think knew enough about the persons life in the actual images that he could keep baiting me like he was very accurate on the car in an image and chatted about cars or he mentioned about a dog which I see the real person has in his image ( used in a previous scam) that he was going to send to me.I might be wrong but it seemed like at some point and time the scammer would have chatted or got enough information about the person in the images to use their identity. I would like to post some images to, as these also might show how much this scammer has taken from this person and is capable of projecting to their next victim. I tried to post some images , but they didn't work can someone help with these - thank you.

No thanks is necessary on my part. Many, many, many people have previously helped me and now I try to return the favour to others. I am grateful to you for publishing the report. Had you not done so, people would be unawares of this scammer. And don't ever think you're out there on your own because there are many good, well conversant members within the forum who will help with any scam questions you may have. Someone in future will see your report and far less likely to get their fingers burnt.

jolly_roger do the people's images that the scammers are using do these people know, get told by police etc.. or ever find out? As this poor guy in the photos they must have taken so much from him I have at least 6 photos and then I see on a previous post the same guys identity was used but different photos of him. I also notified Facebook to ask them to check the profile posted they have done nothing as of yet which just helps enables the scammer. The online dating company were great and felt terrible and removed the profile immediately.

I think people need to also remember that there are several victims involved as the images you see "you" think is the real person you have been talking to at the time .I see on a previous post that a real person' who did find out that their images had been used was getting cross at a lady who had been on the receiving end from the scammer kept trying to him contact him and obviously wanted closure. I think people are in such disbelief about what has happened and their trust taken whether they are the person in the picture or the person sent the images they just get confused on how to deal with the whole thing as people's lives have been played with.

My biggest fear is that I am going to one day see my photos posted on here after someone has been scammed by the scammers using my identity - what a terrible thought.

I wouldn't worry too much about a romance scammer using your photos.

Dating site scammers tend to use romance to lure female victims. They may use photos of a model, but they are equally likely to use photos of a more "average" man.

On the other hand, when they are targeting male victims, they typically use sex as a tool. There are a few exceptions, but the vast majority of scammers targeting men will use photos of women under 40 years old (most often under 30) that have risque or explicit photos they can steal. The more experienced scammers prefer women with recorded video they can use to create fake webcam. So what this means is, they most often use porn actresses or swimsuit or lingerie models.

If you have just sent a few "normal" photos to the scammer, he will likely have little use for them for future romance scams.

Just adding to the comments of Dotti. Male victims are sent photos of 20 to early 30 year olds, even at my age would you believe. After a while the scammers become very easy to spot. The Females are sent photos of ordinary looking guys and/or male models. I too have sent many photos to scammers over the years and have no adverse effects. The last was a fortnight ago. You should not be too concerned. In future if you do send photos to a scammer, perhaps watermark the image/s in some way like I've started doing.
I have heard some of the people in the photos becoming aware but mostly from what I see, people probably are unaware.

No - don't go down that road. If you ever have any more e-mails from scammers and they ask for revealing type photos of you, their more likely a pervert too. Such is this sad crazy world we live in nowadays.
