Welcome Grant,

Many of our members are here as a result of similiar situations, I was first exposed to scams when a friend was nearly scammed by a love scammer, a little scepticism and a little searching gave me the proof I needed to prove to him that it was a scam and his new girlfriend was actually a Nigerian man, since then I keep coming back, a combination of the fun and friendship with the added bonus of helping people.

As mentioned above, 419eater is a great place to learn how to get some revenge while learning more about how scammers operate, that knowledge will in turn be usefull in preventing others from being scammed.

Hi my name is Angelina and i was almost scammed too by a romance scammer. We always feel like a fool if it happens to us but its a wake up call. I hope to learn more and learn how to make them the fool.... I hope to cause them some drama in the future :D .

Hi, dramaqueen, and welcome! :D

If you're serious about giving these guys a hard time, come on over to 419eater.com. It's a whole community of baiters, giving grief to scammers all over the world. I have recently started baiting love-lads, and let me tell you it's so much fun!

Even if the lad you bait isn't the one who almost (thank goodness for that) scammed you, you can give him a good going over and release your feelings on him. Lads are interchangeable.

Welcome, Dramaqueen :D

There's a fairly active 'Love Scam's' forum here that you might like to look at.

We all sympathise with people who have been hit upon by the so-called 'Love Scammers', as it's not only the money they may have lost but also the damage they can be done do to the emotions & trust of their victims!

It must be difficult to trust anyone again after being played by one of these criminals, but provided the good people are aware of how the scams work, who the 'players' are & all the warning signs - we hope they will realise that they were not writing to the person whose photo they were sent, the person they believed they had fallen for - but a sick minded criminal in an internet cafe (or, in the case of the Eastern European scammers, a gang of stupid youngsters.)

We sincerely hope the emotional damage is not lasting & that those who are scammed can realise there are genuine dating sites - and genuine people - out there.

As said above, please visit 419eater and possibly try baiting the scammers!

Hi Drama Queen, welcome to Scamwarners.

If you could post some details of the scammer in our love section you may be able to prevent others from being scammed if they deide to do some searches.

If it fun you want, then it is fun you will have and revenge on the scammers will flow freely while your having a few laughs.

Titania is a prime example of how baiting can be picked up quickly, a few months ago there was a desire and eagerness but not a great deal of knowledge on how and why scammers operate, now she is well versed on the various scams, able to impart good helpfull knowledge to our visitors, able to slow down the effectiveness of scammers but more importantly having a great time in the process. The others at 419eater would be happy to teach you as well, the more baiters there are, the less effective scammers are and that is our number 1 aim both here and at 419eater

Hello All! :) I caught the NPR show - OMG I laughed out load-alot. I had to pull over and 'just listen'.

Is anyone here willing to take on the scum who attempt to scam me via email? Can I post them here?

I don't know if I am as bold  as those guys on NPR. I hope to be though.

Let me know.[/b]

Hey, welcome to the forum.

You should go to 419eater.com and post your scam emails in the surplus email section. You have to post the headers with the email, but someone will probably pick at least a few of yours up.

Hi Moonster and welcome.

As Newdonym said, our sister site, 419Eater.com, is the place to post your scammer's information so that he will be baited. Our focus here is education, victim warning and victim support. Please do feel free to post the information here as well. He won't be baited here, but any potential victims who choose to do a search will find him here and know that he is a scammer.

Glad to have more people interested in helping to spread the word. :D
