I believe my Dad is being scammed

Hello,

I require some help. I believe my father is victim of a scam but he won't believe me(he has "lost" >$37000AU by refinancing his house when he is only on an old age pension). He continues to send money when he cannot afford to live himself.
Is there any way of determining whether he is victim to a scam? I have emails from the scammer(her) when my Dad has not contacted her in a day.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
