Hey all I joined as my father has been the victim of countless scammers, he just cannot learn a lesson, has had a few mild strokes and is a lonely 62 year old who now lives with me. I am a TRUE US Soldier, very happily married and consider myself a dedicated family man, anything I can do to assist please let me know as I am trying to help my Dad with this problem. I would like to add in reference to the Army scams if the email is not @ us.army.mil which is a secure http then it is most likely a scam.

Hello scamfighter75 and welcome to scamwarners!

Sorry to hear about your dad. It would be a big help if you could post the scammers info on the site. That will help others being targeted by the scammer that search find our site.

Justin

You might want to check out our other site www.419eater.com. It's not a good idea to mess with scammers using any real life information. They are criminals afterall. We support messing with scammers and the support staff here does it we call it baiting.

As a note about IP addresses this information only gives you the scammers geographical location and not even that sometimes. Depending on what email provider he is using and if he is using a proxy it may or may not show his real location. Most of these romance scammers are in West Africa.

Thanks for the warning, I passed info onto my brother, he has actually been a scambaiter for about 5 years now, he has had some fun I wish I still had some of the pictures he has received from them. We are being careful and just exacting a small bit of revenge in honor of our Dad. We don't pass along any real info at all, just kind of give them what they try to give......

Ok good if he has been scambaiting that long hopefully he is practicing safe baiting techniques. I wouldn't be doing my job though if I didn't tell you it's not a good idea to bait a scammer you were personally involved with. It adds an emotional element and can cause people to take risk they normally wouldn't by divulging real life information. Just our advice I'm passing along.

You can however along with posting the details here post them on our baiting site here http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=18

This will expose the scammer to plenty of baiters ready to give him the attention he deserves :)

Well the conversation leads a bit funny and yes he is good, not sure if I can post it on here may offend some, a bit of insidious sexual malcontent that the scammer is unaware of but very funny
