Since I know about all this Advance Fee stuff going around, and also aware of phishing, which lead me not only to 419eater, but to aa419. The latter also seems to specialize in fake banks and other fake shopping sites, which is GREAT, however not a whole lot of activity on that site lately :(

Have most of the users just gone away to other sites like this one, or something? It just seems so quiet, and looked at some of the fake banks on their DB, and some still seem to be up, even though it was known many months ago. Is aa419 slowly dying?

aa419.org is alive and well. I am also registered there though I do most of my fake site work at 419Eater. With any anti scam site, there will be peaks and valleys in activity.
The reasons for some fake sites still being alive despite being entered into the database could be many. There are many more fake sites than there are those who report them so some will be unreported despite best efforts. There are also some hosters and registrars who are more cooperative to reports than others. Those who are less cooperative will have sites still up despite database entry and reports by site killers.
More site killers are always welcome. If you're interested, join aa419.org and ask to learn site killing or you can also request at 419Eater.

AA419 is alive and well.

Sites are killed on a daily basis and those that are slower in killing usually have cross jurisdiction issues.

Try killing Fake Banks registered and Hosted in Somali.

There are many varid reason as to why a fake site seems hard to kill but by and large, it takes anywhere between 2 hours to 3 weeks.

The FSA takes 2 weeks to respond, and sometimes that respond is needed to kill a fake bank as the host will not budge.

Try Hosts in Nigeria or such places.
