scams targeting australians

Hi, i notice that most of the scams here are targeting the uk and us. Does anyone know of a scamwarners type site that has australian scams

Welcome to the forums rj. There is the moneysmart website and has a list of undesirable companies people should avoid. Then there's the scamwatch site. Apparently scams can be reported on New South Wales fair trading site and Western Australia scamnet. Scams can be reported on ozscam.com/ after a short registration process. I hope that is of help.

Though the majority of members here are probably from the US and UK there isn't any reason that you can't post Australian scams here. We have members from all over the world and there isn't any restriction as regards the location of victims or scams. The main purpose of the site is to inform victims and potential victims, and to publicise the nature of particular and specific scams, so you can be a member of one scam site or several to achieve the greatest result. I know that some members here run their own sites.

Due to an incident, I am looking forward to screwing with scammers full time. Although id rather focus my efforts on people scamming people here.

Same scammers target people in America, England, Australia, Spanish-speaking countries, and even countries near themselves. In January, some people reported money mule sites called Adalta Finance and Hardin Corporation. Adalta targeted Australians and Hardin targeted inhabitants of the UK, but the text of the application was identical except for the name of the company and the currency.

There is a legit Australian Recruitment site "Seek", where a scammer got my details and emailed me a job description GLOBAL TRAVEL & TOURS from a KEVIN FLORES. I'm based in Australia, and the job specification used Australian dollars, and a few other things to make it seem more...Australian!
Once a scammer has a good command of English, they use a template and send it all over the World, hoping that someone somewhere will fall for it. Plus it makes tracing them difficult, as once one country starts investigating, they move their process to another country and another victim instead.

Could you post the email, including any website it refers to and the email address? There was a site globaltourtravel.com, but we killed it.

We do include Australia here at scamwarners. We have had quite a few members from Australia as well, particularly in the romance scams and job scams forums. We definitely want to encourage you to post any relevant scams. We are an equal opportunity site. We don't care who they target--if they are internet scammers committing advance fee fraud and/or running mule scams, they are fair game. There are scams posted here in which in which the scammers are even targeting their own countrymen.

The same is true over at Eater. We have baiters from every continent, including Australia, and we even have some baiters from Nigeria and other countries that are home to many of these scammers. No need to feel like your location is an issue.
