Fake barrister from Benin

Someone calling themselves Lars Lippert is operating from Benin via Linkedin claiming to be a barrister . I have received an invitation to join this person's network but I do not trust it so have not responded.

I just had Dunane Morris Barrister from Banin try to add me. I'm going to follow your lead on this as I have no reason to be linked to someone in Banin.

Exactly my thinking - why should this guy want to contact me?

Scammers often friend people on social networks. This way when people google them they appear to be real with links/tags to real people.
