-We are looking for some food machinery in china and found this website:

http://papamachine.com

I wrote with the sales manager, called Max Pan. Everything looked good, we found what we needed and
ordered the machines. Before Payment I wanted to check the company a bit more so I found this:

http://latest.buildvisit.com/www/papama ... is-section

The Registrar is the "XIN NET TECHNOLOGY COMPANY" . I googled it and it seems to be part of
scams but i didnt figure out whats exatly up with that company.

There are more details on the whois that irritated me:
Registrant Name: bianpan
Registrant Organzation: panbian
Admin Name: bianpan
Admin Organization: panbian
Admin Email: [email protected]
Tech Email: [email protected]

So everything seems to be connected to Max Pan, who is according to the website the sales manager of papamachines

What do you think about these things?
Should we cancel the deal?

Thanks a lot guys, I hope you can help me.

Hey Nate, welcome to scamwarners.

Google is your friend for a lot of things, this is true. However, I can't understand why a couple of gmail addresses would bother you. It is a good thing something bothered you enough to post this very likely scam site though.

Any business that only registers their website for one year is very likely a scam operation.

Domain Name: PAPAMACHINE.COM
Registrar: XIN NET TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
Sponsoring Registrar IANA ID: 120
Whois Server: whois.paycenter.com.cn
Referral URL: http://www.xinnet.com
Name Server: NS11.XINCACHE.COM
Name Server: NS12.XINCACHE.COM
Status: ok http://www.icann.org/epp#OK
Updated Date: 20-jul-2015
Creation Date: 20-jul-2015
Expiration Date: 20-jul-2016

Please read these articles to understand more of how scammers work, and to protect yourself.

and above all else, before you contract with another company, have then checked out by a reputable "due diligence" company capable of international due diligence. You will have to pay for a due diligence service, but it sure beats losing 100% of your money to a scam operation.

Thanks a lot

Its not the gmail adresses that bother me, it the fact that Max Pan seems to be the person
behind everything, Tech Support Admin etc. And he uses his name differently like panbian or bianpan.

And the Registrar, XIN NET, seems to be connected to dirty business as far as I can tell after
checking them with google.

But I will look for a company who can check due diligence, thanks for the tip

Best regards,

Please read and understand the articles I listed for you. With them you can determine if you are dealing with a scammer before you spend cash on a due diligence company.

it is not unusual to see the registrant also be the admin, tech, abuse, and other titles on the whois listing. The only time that varies is when a company hires a web designer to take care of their web site for them. Then you will see the web designer's info in the admin, tech, and abuse sections of the whois.

As far as the registrar goes, every registrar on the internet registers scam domains. Some do it more knowingly than others. Along those same lines, registrars are also capable of removing scam sites and some will do it more willingly than others, too.
