How does this transaction work:
Buyer and seller agree to terms : Both parties agree to terms of the transaction, which includes a description of the item, sale price and number of days for the buyer's inspection.
Amazon Payments verifies seller's identity and inspects the item:
-paperwork of the vehicle, including ownership and clear title
-seller's information and proof of ID
-Possession of the vehicle that is being sold. After the documentation is checked by our department, one of our representatives personally inspects the vehicle to make sure it matches the description from the web adverts made by the seller.
Buyer sends payment to Amazon Payments. If the buyer/seller has a low feedback/reputation score, or is new to Amazon Payments, Credit/Debit card is allowed only if the purchase price is not greater than $500.
If the purchase amount exceeds $500, the buyer submits the payment to Amazon using Amazon Gift Card Service.
Seller sends item to buyer : Upon payment verification we have the authorization from seller to ship the item and submit tracking information. Amazon verifies that the buyer receives the item.
Buyer receives item : The buyer has 5 days to verify the item and the option to accept or reject it.
Amazon Payments pays Seller : The transaction is complete:
- If the buyer decides to keep the item, Amazon Payments sends the payment to the seller.
- If by any reason the buyer decides not to keep the item, Amazon Payments refunds the buyer .
