Created anonymously 19th June 2014 for 1 year only and subsequently renewed year on year.
The Asia Pacific Commodity Futures Regulator (APCFR) was established in 1981 in order ot ensure protection to investors active in asset classes and markets outside of their country of residency. Its object is to group together, under one authority, the supervision of securities dealers and other financial institutions and firms offering investors offshore investment services. It is entrusted with specific tasks to protect consumers of financial products and services. We assist with arbitration on all cases where it is deemed necessary.
Our aim is to see to it that our regulated firms, which handle people’s monies, are at all times able to meet their commitments vis-à-vis their customers. Our supervision also contributes to the stability of the financial markets in which the regulated firms operate. The institutions and firms under our regulation are the banks, the credit institutions, the stock broking firms and all other investment firms offering investment advice and market participation to investors outside of their country of residency.
