Dear Webnames and In Motion Hosting,

I have just emailed Mr. Weatherspoon to reveal his identity and address so that ICSID Lawyers.com may sue him for defamation. Please see attached email. I suspect that such further and better particulars will not be forthcoming. If ICSID Lawyers were some kind of fraud committing entity, Mr. Weatherspoon would have no problem identifying himself and going to court to test and evidence his bold allegations of which to date he has not furnished any evidence of such whatsoever.

Godaddy temporarily suspended the domain and then unsuspended it due to the absurdity and lack of evidence of the claims. ICSID Lawyers decided to transfer the domain away to Webnames.ca (only possible if Godaddy in fact did un-suspend the domain) due to the extremely unprofessional manner with which Godaddy suspended the domain in the first place without proper notice to ICSID Lawyers.

This Tim fellow is himself perpetuating a fraud.

To state that a Canadian address is some kind of evidence of a fraud as Tim does in his email, is sheer imbecilism.

As for the SEC list, I can put Webnames on that list, that is not a list of entities that have gone through any kind of due process, it is just someone complaining and SEC adding that entity to the list.

ICSID Lawyers is managed by a licensed and insured lawyer called to the bar in five jurisdictions with zero history of any disciplinary action in any of those jurisdictions, if there was any shred of truth to mystery Tim’s allegations and hyperbole, I would have lost my license to practice law.

As for claiming to be the World Bank, ICSID Lawyers explicitly states it is not the World Bank, but why would anyone ever think a law firm called ICSID Lawyers is the world bank, do people think Nike and Gucci is part of the World Bank. ICSID Lawyers does not offer investment advice or products, it is a highly specialized law firm that represents foreign investors at ICSID Arbitrations administered by the World Bank. There is no incentive for ICSID Lawyers to pretend to be the World Bank. Furthermore, only the World Bank has standing to complain about someone purporting to be the World Bank, not Tim, and the World Bank has never complained, and I have been to the World Bank more than once. The ICSID Secretary-General, Meg Kinnear, knows my site well, and has never made a complaint against it.

A virtual law firm not providing an address is hardly unusual.

The domain did not change hands in 2015, and even if it did, what would that have to do with anything?

I have cc’ed the defamer on to this email, hopefully he, she or it, will reply with some substance and not continue making defamatory remarks, which I assure you, the moment he, she or it, identify themselves or themselves I will launch a defamation law suit.

6 Arbitration Providers Win 18 of 19 Arbitration Domains in One UDRP

Six Arbitration Panels brought a single UDRP seeking 19 domain names all owned by ICSID Lawyers, LLC and collectively won 18 of the domains.

The Complainants are London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) of London, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (“United Kingdom”); International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) of Paris, France; Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) of Singapore; Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) of Stockholm, Sweden; American Arbitration Association/International Center for Dispute Resolution (AAA/ICDR) of New York.

The panel ordered 18 of the 19 domains to be transferred finding that:

“”The Respondent is not affiliated with the Complainants in any way. It has not been authorized by any of the Complainants to register or use the Domain Names or to seek the registration of any domain name incorporating the Complainants’ Marks or any marks similar to the Complainants’ Marks. There is no evidence that the Respondent is commonly known by the Domain Names or any similar name. Rather the Respondent is known as ICSID Lawyers. There is no evidence that the Respondent has used or made demonstrable preparations to use the Domain Name in connection with a legitimate noncommercial use.

Rather it appears that the Respondent is using and has used Domain Names to, without the permission of the Complainants, redirect to the Respondent’s Website. The Respondent’s Website advertises the Respondent, who purports to offer legal services in connection with international arbitration. The key question is whether this use amounts to use of the Domain Names for a bona fide offering of goods or services.

The Respondent submits that such use is justified because it is an arbitration law firm that represents clients at each of the Complainants’ arbitral institutions. It is not a direct competitor of the Complainants. Furthermore, as its websites provide information on the Complainants’ arbitral institutions they educate visitors on the Complainants’ services.

The Panel finds that the Respondent’s use of the Domain Names does not give it rights in the Domain Names as it is not using the Domain Names or a name corresponding to the Domain Names in connection with a bona fide offering of goods or services. Firstly, the Respondent goes by ICSID Lawyers. It is not using a name corresponding for to the Domain Names to offer any services.

The key issue is whether the mere fact that the Respondent provides services that relate to the Complainants in some way is sufficient to allow it to register a Domain Name that is identical or confusingly similar to the Complainants Marks. The Respondent argues that because it provides services for customers dealing with the Complainants it has rights in the Domain Names. With respect, in this Panel’s view, this cannot be correct.””
