Juvernatis is a worldwide, industrial biotechnology company that is currently going through a period of commercialization of its algae technologies for the production of ethanol through the use of saltwater, carbon dioxide, sunlight and algae. Our technology has the proven ability to produce large yields being reliant on our photo-bioreactors and exclusive downstream separation processes for low-cost production of fuel. These innovative, inexpensive processes have the added advantage of consuming industrial quantities of carbon dioxide straight from heavy industry and do not require freshwater, food crops or the use of prime farmland.

Our History
Opening our doors during 2008, we are a young however fast developing and complex company that has attained huge success over the last 8 years. Yet the roots of our company began years earlier from an idea by one of our co-founders when he was studying at university.

Early Intellectual Property Advance
The team draw upon their respective times at University, the team has conceived a number of technologies with the conception of Straight to Ethanol technology which is based on the enhancements of metabolic pathways and the promotion of fermentation pathway enzymes within blue-green algae for the purposes of the production of ethanol. Over the years, during a series of collaborations has culminated in the conception of technologies and pending patent applications.

What has proven to be critical in the speedy advancement of our company and this is the conception of an effective photo-bioreactor system for the cultivation of hybrid algae. Our technology is reliant upon the intracellular production of ethanol, which evaporates along with the water, into the enclosed photo-bio-reactor which can then be collected and refined into fuel-grade ethanol. Using this system our team has successfully developed a cost efficient process and proven system for the production of algae based biofuels. This system is completely powered by gravity and the sun; separating our technologies from the rest of the pack.
