scam warning at Grant Financial Consultancy Ltd Warrington

Hi ,
I think we have just been scammed.

I have done some searching online and came up with this article:

We think we have been scammed by a company using the same address.

We applied for a business grant and the compnay and address is:
Grant Financial Consultancy Ltd
340 Firecrest Court
Centre Park
Warrington
WA1 1RG

tel: 01925 964088

also they have been dealing with a company called Midas Funding UK Plc

has anyone heard of these ?

We have uploaded some monies to a business Mastercard as a percentage of the grant monies offered and have not heard any more.
The number just keeps going to hold and waiting for an operator and twenty minutes later advises you to leave a message.which we have .
they are not responding to email requests also.

Can you shed any help on this?

1) There is a real UK-registered company named Grant Financial Consultancy Ltd

2) Their registered address is indeed 340 Firecrest, Court, Centre Park, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 1RG

3) That address also belongs to Brookson who specialise in company formation and other services for self-employed contractors / consultants. That is why there are over 15,000 companies registered at that address.

4) There is a very good chance that the real Grant Financial Consultancy know nothing about this scam - they have just had their identity stolen.

5) The http://yourbusinessgrant.org.uk website is already dead. It costs almost nothing to set up a fraudulent website. One decent "sting" and you are in the money.

6) Nothing beats doing business face to face.
