Safety Engineer
Responsibilities:
· Prioritize and support process & technical safety reviews, including Major Accident Risk,
· QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, Project HSE Stage Gate Reviews and other technical safety related audits and reviews of existing plants and projects.
· Produce various safety engineering (and legislative compliance) studies.
· Be part of Safety Team and attend kick-off meetings, progress and design review meetings for the project or change proposal designs.
· Preparation of CTR estimates for the safety engineering studies.
· Delivering quality, cost effective and timely engineering services in a demanding
· environment of change, short interval planning and conflicting priorities.
· Participation in incident investigations and provide root cause analysis support particularly where technical and/or process safety issues are involved.
· Support Safety Case Maintenance.
· The development of technical safety engineering and process safety aspects of major projects in the oil and gas industry or related industries.
· Thorough understanding and application of quantified and qualified risk management techniques including specific scenario modeling.
· Experience of facilities design and analysis is preferable incorporating knowledge of topsides & sub-sea facilities, pipelines and controls, etc.
· 4-5 years experience working in the technical safety engineering or process safety disciplines of projects or onshore/offshore oil & gas operations
· You may be accountable for provision of process safety engineering advice and support on all aspects of onshore and offshore operations, projects including new developments, and to ensure Technical Safety Engineering discipline regulatory and company standards compliance, optimum business performance and appropriate levels of discipline engineering capability.
· Capable of generating a co-operative team based culture for groups under his / her control.
· Knowledge of personal issues and aspirations of subordinates.

Qualifications:
· Degree in engineering discipline. MSc will be advantage.

The Global Energy demand has been increasing without any sign of slowing down. United Nations (UN) predicted that global population will reach 9 billion by 2050 which will undoubtedly increase the energy demand significantly. As the demand been increasing, Brian Oil and Gas has also diversified its portfolio to encourage Renewable Energy Projects with its partners globally. Currently BOG ventured in biofuel productions in Asia and conducting further study in Solar and Wind Power with its partners. Oil Exploration
Brian Oil and Gas (BOG) is formed with a clear vision of ‘Keeping Your Dreams Alive’ by providing value adding services to the Oil and Gas industry and continuously contributing to the community. BOG is based in South Haven, MI, focusing on Safety Engineering and Risk Management Services and Renewable Energy. In addition, BOG is looking at various opportunities to build a diversified portfolio of exploration assets through participation in the United States Seaward licensing rounds and through acquisitions. BOG’s intention is to have interests range from 5% to 60% in 10 blocks or partial blocks under 5 licences within the next 5 years.
BOG is currently undertaking an extensive study and research on various oil fields in collaboration with partners and third party contractors. There are a number of high potential reserves that have been identified which require a substantial capital for the reserves to be developed. The extent of these reserves are considered to be commercially attractive; therefore, a plan is being developed to attract potential investors.

BOG is currently in talks with several charitable organisations in USA. These talks form the base of fundraising concept which BOG intends to undertake in order to help the community, as one of the company’s Objectives. In particular Befriend a Child: an organisation who help children who have been identified as suffering or at risk. Other organisations involved are Transition Extreme; another charity organisation who provide an extreme sports facility for people of all ages, and the Rotary Club Aberdeen.

New Location
All works and furnishings have now been completed and BOG have moved into the new premises, 100 Congress Lane. The new office will be able to accommodate more staff which will align with our ambitious growth target.
