Hi - I am looking at buying a motorhome through Lichfield Caravans. They are asking for the money to be transferred to a bank account before delivery of the van. That is understandable but I am concerned about the security of my money in case the van is not delivered. I looked up this company on Scamwarners and someone has said that it is fraudulent. However, you have later commented that there is a legitimate company but that they have been the victim of identity theft? Please can you give me more details? I would like to know what I am dealing with. Any information you have will be gratefully received.

The website is a FAKE/FRAUD . There is a company by that name registered in the UK , but that is not their website!!! . Don't send any money to that website . Please post any additional contact details these scammers are using that is not part of the record here .

Reported to police, company house etc as well as the legitimate company. The website now seems to have been shut down. The guy running it had a very strong Russian accent and was purporting to be the British owner/director of the legitimate company registered in UK. He even sent me a copy of a false/stolen passport of this British guy as well as a copy of some paperwork he downloaded from company house. He told me he had set up a warehouse in Germany and that all motorhomes would be delivered from there in order to avoid extra costs following Brexit. He wanted me to transfer money to an account in Germany with the account holder name Pahomi Leichfield Caravans.
