The company Grant Trailers Ltd does exist, but they have no involvement in this scam and are victims of having their identity stolen by the scammers. Their Companies House record shows that they are involved in vehicle repair, not selling motor homes.

Hi Alan,

Grant Trailers Ltd is in indeed a legit company who specialise in HGV trailer repairs and servicing. The company is pretty old school so had no online/social media presence which made it an easy target for identity theft, is the reason the website was not noticed initially.

The Police and Fraud squad alerted Grant to the fraudulent website. When I was made aware I reach out to the hosting providers and after a lot of arguing had grant-trailers.co.uk taken offline and the account suspended. I noticed a new site on a new domain was brought online (granttrailers.co.uk) which I have subsequently also had taken down.

I was not aware of grantmtc.com but will see if I can get that taken down too.

In an effort to help address this I registered granttrailers.com yesterday and spun up a quick website for the legit company that includes a warning that it is in no way affiliated with selling of motorhomes or commercial trailers. Hopefully Google indexing will soon pick this up so its higher up on the ranking.

FYI - I had the website https://grantmtc.com shut down and the account suspended by the host provider. Hopefully there wont be any more domains registered by the scammers.
