Fake banks, couriers, law firms, escrow and other fake sites used in scams.

Does anyone have any information about this company?

The company is called Marfani Metals or Marfani Corporation (Corp).
I have an offer from them and needs to know whether they are scammers or real sellers.

I have checked on (removed - dotti) and they say the site is ok.
How can I check it?

Thanks in advance.

Domain was registered 6 months ago, and for the minimum period of a year. Appears to be email only, still says "website under construction." The registrant is hidden by privacy protection, something you would not expect from a company in that line of business.

Domain Name.......... marfanicorp.com
Creation Date........ 2012-09-21
Registration Date.... 2012-09-21
Expiry Date.......... 2013-09-21
Admin Name........... Admin PrivateRegContact
Admin Email.......... [email protected]

Those are some very big red flags. I can't say for certain whether the domain is fraudulent, but I would require a LOT more information before doing business with them.

Note that I have removed the link in your post to the site you said you used to check marfanicorp.com. There are very mixed reports about the site, and we do not know what methods are used to assign a safety rating.

To put it bluntly this is a scam.

They are claiming to be an international scrap/metals exporter.

Two BIG red flags

Mobile telephone for main contact and fax

The listed address that I found is for a single family home in a residential area.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

They claim to exist since 2009 and have a turnover over 12 million usd.
They say to have some scrap that I am interested in and they told that they did not have a working website.
I want to kow whether the company is real or just a scam, maybe the site does not explain so much.
How can I check whether the company is real or not?

We are very cautious by nature and there is very good reason for us to warn you baskan123 against losing money to these people, but if you won't listen we can't stop you.

There is no evidence or sight of a company at their residential address, and a company address would normally locate where the business is, and scrap metal would be quite easy to see.

The evidence so far is overwhelming, and there is more that I would prefer not to disclose.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle

It is my first day on scamwarners.com and must admit that I very positively surprised over how motivated you are and all the know how you have - so wants to thank in advance. You are doing a great job :D

I could make a great deal if he is not a scammer and untill now he sounded very sincere - so I really hope that he is for real. But if you guys tell he is a scammer, well there is nothing I can do

But woudl appreciate a final evidence since I hope it could be work out :)

A search of Texas business registrations shows only one business with Marfani in the name:

If you look at the birds eye and street view here, you can see that the property is certainly not set up to hold millions of dollars worth of scrap. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/18518-Knob-Hill-Lake-Ln-Humble-TX-77346/80521830_zpid/

On several trade sites, the address is listed as 33 kings ave. Per google maps, that address does not exist.

So we have:
-no business registration
-no physical location (One address that is a home, and one that doesn't exist.)
-a domain that was only registered 6 months ago, for the minimum period
-a business that supposedly does millions in business and claims to have existed for 5 years--but there is absolutely no internet presence except on sites he would have listed himself on (how did he pick up that much international business without a website?)
-A business phone number for a supposedly multi-million dollar business that is a cellphone.
