There look as if there could be a few 'doppelgangers' about, but I'll check them out more closely before I finger them.

I like this from the Customer Opinions

"I highly recommend Pay Go for anyone needing an alternative to an online auction." - Scott S., Mankato, MN.

:laugh-s:

What are they talking about ?

I would guess that their lack of ability in use of the English language has let them down. I suspect I know what they meant to say. They should stick to copy and pasting text rather than trying to make up stuff themselves.

Aaaaah - I get the bizarre fascination with auction sites

Escrow Scam

Pay-Go reduces the potential risk of fraud by acting as a trusted third party that collects, holds and disburses funds according to Buyer and Seller instructions.

Protection for both Buyer and Seller

Buyers receive and inspect the merchandise before the Seller is paid.
Sellers receive their money if the Buyer accepts the merchandise.

It's a peculiar attempt to set up a plausible scam escrow site, though who they think would expect a card issuer to provide escrow services, I really don't know. Considering that there are no terms and conditions mentioned at all, no contact details apart from a number that appears to be a mobile connected to West Bengal and no company name mentioned, trying to use it in a scam would make it appear that a scam seller is trying to market some strange banking service.

As 'green dot Money Pak' state

How to Stop A Scam:
Use your MoneyPak number only with businesses on our approved list. If anyone else asks for your MoneyPak number or information from your receipt, it’s probably a scam. Don’t give your MoneyPak number to pay for something you buy through the classifieds or to collect a prize or sweepstakes. Do not give away your receipt information to another party either. If you give your MoneyPak number or information about the purchase transaction to a criminal, Green Dot is not responsible for paying you back. Your MoneyPak is not a bank account. The funds are not insured against loss.

Refuse any offer that asks you to buy a MoneyPak and share the number or receipt information by email or phone.

The approved list of partners that accept Money pak are listed here

https://www.moneypak.com/WhoAccepts.aspx

.... and paygo aren't one of them, though a similarly named but unassociated company is mentioned.

Anyone divulging a green dot Money Pak security number to these people will lose their money.

I notice that the website is registered in the name of someone unconnected with the scam and who is connected with a similarly named business which isn't associated with it either.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle
