Position: Shipping & Receiving Specialist
We are a fast growing US shipping company and now we feel the lack of Shipping & Receiving Specialists.
Our Shipping & Receiving Specialists
◦Receive materials and components
◦Accept deliveries
◦Inspect and verify items according to their condition
◦Keep records
◦Prepare shipments (assemble, pack, and label containers)
◦Prepare items for various shipping methods.
◦Examine items to be shipped (destination, route, rate, time, etc.) and choose a method of shipment
◦Perform some other similar duties
Requirements:
◦High school diploma or equivalent
◦Valid driver's license
◦Accuracy and attention to the details
◦Ability to work independently
◦Ability to manage priorities to balance multiple projects and deadlines
◦Strong analytical and problem solving skills
◦Basic computer skills
◦Good communication skills (verbal and written)
◦Keeping Customers informed on their shipments and the process
◦Invoicing
◦Direct reporting to the Manager
The successful candidates will need to show willingness and ability to handle forwarding freight shipments as well as to have effective communication and organizational skills. Prior experience in logistics is plus.
Salary: depending on experience
