Fake Hotel part of GCEID conference scam, yolandehotel.com

I'm posting this here to warn people, it's a part of the GCEID conference scam already reported here, but the hotel site is still up and Wix won't pull it. It's also posted at 419eater's forum for the site killers. This way if someone does a search they will see it here.

The site is yolandehotel.com and the email is [email protected]

This is the hotel that the GCEID scammers tell you to "book" with and then after you pay you have to send GCEID the receipt. This is not a real hotel and this is why:

There is no Yolande Hotel per google: https://www.google.com/search?q=1-218-2 ... ande+hotel

The address they give for the hotel on the website, 61 LICHFIELD BLVD, FREDERICKSBURG, VA 22406-9998, is an empty lot in Fredericksburg: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=61 ... BURG%2C+VA

The phone number on the website, (1) 218-288-1032, is a VOIP (Vox) number registered to Virginia, MN not Fredricksburg, Virginia

On homepage, horrible English

On "Restaurant" page, "Large restaurant with panoramic views of Plaza Cataluña". Plaza Cataluña is in Barcelona, not Fredricksburg

Our booking instruction for this event entails that bookings must begins 24 hours prior to the conference date, to a day after the last day of the conference being seven (7) night's duration.

(3) You must also forward your name and passport numbers. On receipt of your payment, we will forward the confirmation of your hotel reservation for days paid for by e-mail attachment and a copy sent to the conference secretariat. Please note that payment covers feeding too.


Refund policy:

The organizing committee has reached an agreement with the managements of our hotel management on refund policy. Below is the reached agreement.

a) That any individual, group or organization wishing to withdraw their participation in this conference after the payment of the hotel booking may request for refund in written to the hotel manager.

b) The total payment will be refunded to the individual, group or organization after the reduction of the bank transfer charges.
