This scam email was sent from this email address Jason G Lo ([email protected]) it is common for scammers to gain access to legitimate peoples email boxes and begin sending out their emails and in this case it is the most likely situation.
It isn't hard to pick up the problem with this scam email, it comes from a US university and is supposedly a UK lottery, not all scam emails are as obvious as this but there is a simple rule, you will never win a lottery that you didn't enter and if you did enter it, you will never be asked for fees of any kind to recieve your prize
