Is this one of the known scams? I've attached it exactly how they've typed it on the PDF attached to the e-mail received:

Yes it is a known scam. It's a very common one, though the scammers change email addresses a lot.

Powerball is a US-only, multi-state lottery. The only way to win is if you physically buy a ticket, and you have to be in the US to do that.

Scammers like to use the names of real lotteries because it makes them seem more plausible, and powerball is used quite a bit.

It is a scam, sweepstakes are won by collecting money and then the the winner taking the majority of the money in the kitty. You can't win a sweepstake if you haven't bought a ticket.

No TheBridgeMinInt, you could not possibly have won it! The exact same ticket number and the exact same ball numbers were drawn in May of twenty twelve (some nine months ago) The only part of the scam that has changed being the phone number. In last years scam attempt it was +27 76 264 0434
