This email was not sent by the BBC (British Broadcasting Company), it was sent by a scammer in Nigeria.
The 'winning numbers' are correct for the Lotto Draw of 7 April 2010, but the recipient of this email is NOT the winner. The UK National Lottery website states this, regarding the Lotto Draw:
and instead requires you to log in to your account with the National Lottery, and, after that, if you discover that you are a winner, to telephone the National Lottery Customer Care Team using a telephone number which begins +44 (0)845 278. Or, if you have bought an in-store ticket, to return to the retailer to present that ticket.
This email is a scam. The scammer will demand payments, pretending that they are necessary in order to receive the prize money. The scammer does not have any prize money for anyone. This email is untrue.
