Have you received a notification from UPS promising to deliver a package that you won in the WAYN Lottery?
If you've joined that travel organization, you have probably received their confirmation emails from admin @ wayn.com.
Note that the legitimate organization uses their own domain name for their own email!
Scammers do not have the luxury of sending email from legitimate organizations they claim to represent; their emails usually come from [email protected], or one of the other free email providers.
This is the notification email from "UPS Courier Services" who will supposedly send you your money/ATM card.
Note that it comes from an account at live.com, not ups.com!!!!
You will continue to hear from Mrs Rose Flemmings or John Clivvers that you won the WAYN Lottery.
Please remember that if you are not a member of a site or organization, then it is very doubtful that you can win "their lottery".
Any legitimate lottery is drawn on a pool of people who have actually entered that lottery.
When you think about how any organization could afford to give away thousands or millions of dollars to random people, the scammers logic falls apart!
If you didn't enter the lottery or pay an entrance fee, where does the lottery get its money to pay the winners??
If they paid winnings out of subscription fees, then it only makes sense they would restrict that lottery to its paid members, and not solicit random people on the internet.
How would you feel if you joined or paid a subscription for a site, but that site awarded money to people who were not members?? Would you remain a member for long????
If you receive an email liike the example above, you will certainly come out ahead as soon as you delete that email into the trash where it belongs!!
