UK British Military Request Leave

Im too am concerned about all this stuff that is happening.
If anyone can help i would be very happy.
I have started with so.eone in the uk military and want to find out more.
im pretty sure anything to do with military now a days is a scam. So my question is it the same goes for uk services as USA? Is it true if a soldier wants to leave that he does have access to funds. This is wierd because then they cant go anywhere. Lets clear this up once and for all. If they want to leave to meet is it possible for them to get funds to do this? Even if they are stationed in a poor place like Afghanistan? Please help me with this.

Leave has to be requested by the member through his chain of command. His wife, mother, children nor internet girlfriend can do this.

The Military member has access to his money. Also anything he needs will be provided on base.

He does not pay for flights home, medical, phones or internet privileges.

He says that where he is that they not have access to a bank or atm there he says he is in bastion camp if this helps. And they are on a peace mission is there anyway i can make sure if this is true? Is there anything else i can do to check if he is there? He has asked his commander for leave but says i have to tell them where he is going too and will have to fill out firm. Can you tell me more if you know any information? Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Basic Leave Benefits of Service

Members of the British Armed Forces have many options available for leave. Any leave taken of course would require prior approval from your chain of command. If operational priorities dictake your leave request could be denied - alternate dates should be negotiated to ensure your leave could be well planned. Also keep in mind that if operational needs arise that require you back at work while your on your leave you may be subject to recall.

Regular Earned Leave - Paid

The British Military has a generous leave policy. Service members are entitled to 30 working days(weekends and bank holidays are not considered as leave days) which equates to about six weeks of paid leave per year.

He is a thief and a liar. If you confront him, he will continue to lie. He has access to ATM's and Payroll Dept.

You will never contact his Commander. He is the only one that can do this. Only scammers/thieves believe this.

Some users of online dating websites have reported making contact with others claiming to be British Army soldiers on operations in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Typically, they have reported building a relationship over time, through correspondence and exchange of photos etc - but eventually there is an attempt to defraud when the spoof soldier either asks for bank account details to transfer a significant amount of money, or by asking for money to enable them to go on leave.

The former is a long-established scam (known as "advance-fee fraud") while the latter is a new, but outright, con. British forces personnel on Operations do not have to pay to go on leave, or to pay for flights, or replacement personnel.

Anyone in such a position should cease all communications and contact their local law enforcement agency.

yes i do aspect it is but i dont think the law officers can do much with it right? I have his phone number so he has given that to me.
I didnt know if any PEACEKEEPERS where still there. Maybe some had headed back in the last year or two you wont hear that on the news. So its hard to know what to think
Wish i knew this information before. He said there is no banking services there and his commander helps him. So there is or was banking services in camp bastion at the time or in any camp. I know the uk will pay for him to go back to england but he wanted to come here which is a different country. So anyway. Thats that.

i was scammed by a man who say he was uk military station in Bastion Camp. when i search i knew it was all lies he was saying. he wanted me to pay for leave. i knew this was not true because of family members. he then ask for money for other reasons. leave is paid for and they can go where ever they want. he does not have to pay for leave to visit you country.. people here are trying to help you. they do have their money in camp and get it.

There is no doubt about it --- from the things that you have already indicated you are in contact with a scammer.

There is not one Branch of the Armed Forces anywhere in the Western World where a Serving Officer has to pay for Leave.

You will never meet the person that you are writing to, and any money that you send will only go to maintain his lifestyle.

We can only give you advise based on our knowledge and experiences - If you choose to send money --- and he will ask you for more --- it will be you that looses out.

Ticktock - as you've been told above, he is a 100% liar and thief and is scamming you. If you continue to communicate with him, he will only continue to lie to you, manipulate you and scam you out of any money you do have. Right now he is telling 10 or more women the same things he's telling you. The best thing you can do is post what information you do have on him in order to warn other victims who may be searching for his information.

There's no other help or advice that can be given here. If you choose to continue with this scammer you will be left not only with a broken heart, but an empty bank account and possible legal trouble in the end. I hope you take Bryon and Michelle's advice above.

Does the British army require payment for "request for leave permit"? I have been in contact with a Staff Sergeant in the British Army who says he is on contract for 18 months in Iran. THe camp is supposed to be outside Tehran.

I have paid for a plane ticket (and upgrade) for his leave. They also require a "security deposit" that is supposed to be refunded in full upon his arrival at my location. Well, first plane was missed so now they are requiring fees for another plane ticket.

Can anyone PLEASE give me some insight on this situation-? Do British military pay for thier leave?? Do they pay for their plane tickets?? Is it true that they are given NO funds onsight and everything is direct deposit to their accounts at home??
