Information on romance scams and scammers.

I recently encountered a man who called himself Hope
He was so sweet, and had me completely blinded. Claimed to be from Plano, Tx, widower, had a 7 year old daughter. Claimed to be an Architect, with many projects going at the moment. Within a week and a half, he was proclaiming to be falling in love with me. Hope was very attentive to my sleeping and waking hours, my times of work, and was very prompt to contact me at all the proper times. He said he had fallen in love with me and wanted to meet me, but had to go to Ghana, Africa for business, a new project starting there. He said we would definitely meet once he returned. Me, being niave, believed him. On what marked our third week talking, he departed for his African trip. He disappeared from his Whatsapp for 24 hours. Then he reappeared and our communications were back on track. The very next day, he tells me that he is having trouble with his debit card. This is where the red flags went up for me. I told him that I have no money to give, but that it really hurt me to not be able to help him. He was insistent on saying it was not for me to worry about, that he would figure something out. Yet,he would still drop hints until 2 days ago, she he asked directly for my debit card ifo, while pretending to be half asleep. He said he would call me the next morning as he always has. When I woke up the next morning, his Whatsapp was inactive.. no trace of him anywhere, and hasn't been since. No communication at all. I amust not sure if this is part of his scheme, and will try to reappear in a few days, or if he realized I was on to him and moved on to his next scheme elsewhere. Either way, after Researching online romance scams, I found his exact scheme, as it seems to be a common scam. What really bites is that I feel like a complete fool. He even went as far as to tell me that he had been scammed by 2 women who took him for money.
The only information I have on him is he called himself Hope Morgan, going by Morgan. Said he was from Plano Texas, has a daughter and a nanny to care for her she he is away for work, his wife died 4 years ago with a brain tumor, I know the address he gave me is fake, the pictures of his home that he sent was a nice ranch style house on much land, but Google showed the address he gave as a townhouse listed for sale. Said he has a home in Colorado due to the Fact that he has an office there as well. He always uses WhatsApp for calls and texting, tho he did give me a Plano phone number, which he called from occasionally, this number is a bandwidth.com number, not a true mobile number. I just have to wonder how he got the pics he is using, because these are not anywhere on the Web to be found. And anytime I asked for a new pic, he sent almost immediately. Lord help Us All...
If any of you out there have seen this man... please beware... he is really sweet sounding and appears to be very sincere. When I had questioned him on the address, he even offered me for us to slow down until he cone back and we can meet so that he can let me know my doubts and fears are all for naught. Any words of advice any e...

Any pictures that he sent we stolen or copied from some location on the internet and he probably has hundreds of images stored on his computer that he uses in his romance scams.
If you have any additional questions about this scam please ask.

To post photos or screenshots they must be no more than 600 pixels wide so you go here first and shrink them .

http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

After you have resized the photo to 600 pixels wide you go here to host the photo and you also mark it as stolen .

http://www.scamwarners.com/main/

You than copy the link indicated for forums and repost that link in your post .

To copy text from an email or the email header you right click and drag across the text . It turns blue . You than left click on the blue area and select copy . You can than right click on your post . Select paste and it will paste the content .

If you still cant figure it out i suggest you contact staff or a senor member.

The same thing happened to me. Don't feel stupid or neive You reached out to a person whom you thought was genuine and he took advantage of the fact that you wanted to help him. Scammers are very good at taking advantage of good people.

Girl... yes they are... they really make you believe their role too. I just can't understand how someone could have to heart to hurt people like that... I mean this guy... if I asked for a pic in a certain manner, I would get it immediately, always very attentive to my time schedule for phone calls and texting. Even wanted to take my son and myself on vacation when he returned from his business trip. This world is a scary place.

Hi, I've just met your Morgan. The story is so similar. I did collect his profile & pic from OkCupid. We only texted on the site yesterday, last night he asked for my number, I refused to provide it on the site but did give him my email. Today, late afternoon, he did send an email at which time I did a search on his address to find him listed here & yourittoday.com. I figured something was wrong last night when I asked about his love to golf, anyway he's still at it.
