Army Leave Scammer

Hello Everybody,

I meet this man on Yearbook.com by the name of Captain Mark Galle, he is supposed to be a Captain in Kabul Afghanistan 3rd Infantry Division. We meet and started talking everything was going well, he had been in the military for 27 years. The conversation went slowly and then one day he stated that he wanted to come home and meet me that is when things got weird. He asked me to contact his Colonel and request a leave for him to come home and while he is home he was going to retire from the army. His Colonel's name is Richard Palazzo and his email address is [email protected], which started a cascade of people an email from [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] sent me forms and asked for $325.00 for processing fees. They asked me to send that money via WesternUnion or MoneyGram to a

They stated that after I sent the paperwork in and the officer was confirmed in the US I would be his beneficiary and an additional $73000 would be put in my account for his leave. My family grew up in the Navy so I knew that this was a line of BS cause after the processing fee they would want another $2675 for different fees. Plus Mark stated that when he files for retirment he would get another bonus of over $500,000, LOL.

Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this guy. It is too bad that there are men out there like this and who do you really trust and how do you really meet anyone anymore cause we are all so busy. It seems that the majority of men that I meet online are overseas and then they end up asking for something. You can trust nobody.

This picture is also on plentyoffish.com as "lonelysouljaboy". Emailed back and forth a couple of times via pof.com site, then exchanged emails: [email protected], name is David Morgan. Claims he is a master sergeant stationed in Kuwait, 48 years old, a widow. I got suspicious and started asking questions; he got defensive. Never reached the scam part; after I got suspicious, he stopped responding to my emails.

These people obviously do their homework. I have some sources and have been able to confirm there is a David Morgan in the US Army active duty who joined in Nov of 1982. I have also independently verified that there is a David Morgan stationed in Kuwait. Have not been able to confirm if the picture on pof.com is actually a person named David Morgan; there is a FB page with the same picture but the name associated with it is Collins Armstrong.

If you guys ever have a suspicion about someone, use google's image search. That's how I found this page and the Collins Armstrong FB page.

Welcome to ScamWarners nicscott, it is great you did your research. Scammers don't have to do much of their own research because people who don't realize that their information can and will be stolen by others post too much personal information in the internet.

Scammers are happy to take the information which goes with the photo to go in their script so they don't have to come up with a story and they don't have to pay someone to write the script for them.

Nothing the scammer says is true about themself. It may be true about another pserson, but it is not true about them. Thank you for posting this information and email address.

Hello, all. Being the victim of scammers already, I was immdeiately suspicious of this guy. Says his name is SGT. Andy Joe, squad leader for 20 men in the EOD department, currently stationed in Afganistan. Wanted me to email his commander, whose email address is [email protected] to apply for leave for him to come see me. I did some checking hwen I got the reply, and looked up the Army leave form online. The form I was sent had a green background with a differnet symbol than the army uses in the upper left hand corner. Andy said that the commander can send me any kind of leave form he has; but, commander nicholas rplied with a different person in the header, a Robert Shaw,from the Leave Permit Processing Dept. , NY, United State. For me, the missing "S" was a big red flag, so I started checking online, and came across this site. I started quoting some of the info I found on here, especially the one about leave not being paid for and that nobody can apply for leave for someone else in the service. This set him off, telling me that he loved me and doesn't want my money, I'm his world,blah, blah.
I have saved the email and I do have a picture of the guy from the dating site I met him on, which in Confirio.com. I can send the info if you would like to see it.
