FAKED DATING SITE PROFILES OF Josie Ann Miller (Josiemodel)

Perhaps you could publish email addresses and profile texts. Profiles tend to get deleted and at best ephemeral. The scam text and email addresses are the only way to permanently mark a scammer.

Once a profile goes off the radar it is lost. Then you have an email address that you can use regardless of what happens. However it also removes all the porn sites, prostitutes, spammers, and cam girls who make such profiles to suck in customers and they are a different subject altogether.

I too have fallen victim to this professional scammer. She posed to be someone else and asked me to send her money using Western Union. Unfortunately I did. She even sent me a passport scan (which I found odd that she already has something like that ready), pictures and was even Live on Skype video. But as I did some googling on the images she sent, they are from Josie Ann Miller. And as of the video, this can be done using pre-recorded video that can be 'streamed' as 'live' video. Bah...I can kiss my money goodbye.

PS. I found out about her being fake by googling her photo she sent me. The looked kinda professional and I always wondered who made the pictures...So I uploaded the photo to google image search to find similar images and bingo! Tip for everyone out there who wants to find out more about a photo...

I have been talking to this person for the past 2 1/2 years, under the name Juily Addae. I know how it feels to be ripped off, believe me. I have something like 25 photos and now want to find out how to delete them, they are now on my database including Windows Photo Gallery and on the hard drive, I have no idea how to delete these. Beware, I made the mistake of sending money occasionally, including $1,000 for a plane ticket. Didn't hear anything for a month, then she popped back on saying she was arrested for trying to use a fake ticket. Watch it, all you guys. She sounds and looks good but is out to make money off you. Another thing that got me scared is when I called her number, the voice I heard sounded like one of those Indian people who calls to harass you about bills, it is not the voice I expected from a hot white girl. Beware, STAY AWAY!

I posted several messages regarding Josie Ann Miller , under the name jkindheart, please read them. This situation is out of control. On her website there are around 4,500 photos, it seems to provide easy fodder for scam artists. I also looked under Yahoo search under josie ann miller scams, it shows at least several dozen names using Josie's photos. I will try to list them. I was in contact with her for the last 2 1/2 years under the name Juily Addae. I wound up sending money for internet connection, I used Moneygram as Western Union is too expensive. I wish I would have paid attention to the idea that she did not have proper id for Moneygram, so her 'uncle' picked it up. I constantly urged her to get an id but it never happened. So possibly 2 people working together on these scams. Later I sent out $1,000 toward a plane ticket, yeah- no one showed up, no contact for a month. Then there are emails saying she was arrested for trying to use a fake ticket. things progressed a few more months, until the latest story- I began receiving less and less contact, now she comes up with " my mum was in a car wreck", so she spends long hours at the hospital with her. I began fearing that soon I will be bothered for more money to help her. I finally looked up 'Juily Addae' and found out the truth under this site. The saddening, disgusting, but pretty much expected truth. I've now eliminated my previous Yahoo account and began a new one, I urge others in this situation to do the same, immediately!!!! So...why do we fall for all this crap? Well, some of us are extremely lonely and unable to find a partner in life by any means other than these sites, the workplace provides no prospects. It becomes easy to fall for anyone who claims to be concerned toward you. It is very difficult to get to know someone and most people won't give a shy person the time of day, we are pieces of crap as far as many are concerned. So now does the process begin again, when there are so many out there to try and scam you again. This is the fourth time around, the other three that scammed or attempted to were from Nigeria, I lost much money and my credit rating to the first one , who used the name 'Peyton Moore". After the truth came to light there, I blew off the next two. I wish I had the strength to blow off this 'Juily' way earlier than I did. The pain and anger is indescribable.

Look up Josie Ann Miller's website, there are statements showing she IS aware that her pics and videos are being used fraudulently. Can this suggest collusion with them?

??? No, she is not in collusion with them. As stated, she is aware that her images have been stolen and used in scams.
As a successful glamour model, she has no need to scam people.

Hundreds, possibly thousands of pictures belonging to models are stolen all the time and used in a similar way.

Dear Con warner-nevertheless, it seems like this young lady is the most often used. I am discovering what is possibly dozens upon dozens of names are online using her pictures. It is absolutely unacceptable that apparently little can be done about all this, considering the number of people losing money, having their hearts and dreams mangled and crushed, credit ratings destroyed and so on. If this isn't a priority, then the legal system , whether it be our country or others, is simply not worth a damn. This is not something that can go on unchecked. I understand that it is difficult to know whether this is a man, woman or a team that is doing this. Such a massive number of names suggests a team , one person could not control all of this.

You are probably off by a factor of 10. There are way more than that.

Your basic assumption is that the fake profiles are all connected to each other, and that they are the work of some large gang. That assumption is incorrect. Some profiles will be the work of the same person or groups, but there are MANY unconnected scammers behind those profiles. There is no "kingpin" and there is no single network that can be brought down.

Scamming is an industry in certain areas, and there are many different players. There are many thousands of African scammers out there running the same types of scams. Some work in gangs, some independently. Scammers will copy and steal scripts and photos from other scammers (it really is true that there is no honor among thieves.) Other criminals make their living selling tools to scammers--photos, websites, software (for example to create fake webcam,) and credit card and banking information are routinely sold in the scammer world. In many cases, corrupt local law enforcement is also involved.


Unfortunately, while Josie Ann Miller is a favorite target of scammers, she is by no means the only one.
Google "Raven Riley" scam (another porn model), or try Allen and Violet Large (an older couple who won the lottery and gave most of it to family, friends and charity, only to have thousands of scam emails sent out in their names, many after the death of Violet.) And don't get me started on the scammers who use photos of fallen soldiers.

Those photos are her livelihood. In her business, more photos and video = more paying subscribers to her site. She doesn't like the scammers, but she is not going to give up her income because criminals in Africa misuse them. She has a right to legally earn her living, without being held responsible for the actions of criminals in Africa.

No you weren't. You were in contact with an African scammer, most likely male. You were never in contact with Josie Ann Miller.

We fight scammers on a daily basis here. Whether we like it or not, these scams are international in nature, and investigations are costly and extremely complicated--and that is before we consider the politics involved. We can and do report the information we do have. On rare occasion, we are fortunate to see the scammers we are fighting arrested.

There is no miracle solution, and we do not support measures that penalize millions of innocent people or infringe on their rights. So we do what we can do--if we can't get them arrested, we kill their websites, warn their victims, eliminate their mules and bank accounts, and educate their potential targets.

It makes it hard to think about trying anything again, even though these dating sites are the only possibility of ever meeting someone for a lot of us. Now there will always be the fear of running into another one of these bastards. They are everywhere, even on highly publicized sites like Match.com and Christian Mingle. It's like trying to walk through a cow pasture without stepping in manure. I never meant to say I was in contact with Josie herself, but someone using her images. More than one person involved- I'm sure that varies from case to case. In my case there had to be at least two, but who knows. I'm becoming more and more aware of how many names are paired with this young lady's photos. I actually knew this was ending one way or another. Not only was contact becoming more and more rare, when we did chat it did not end with the typical goodbyes, now it was just cut off without notice. I have a feeling that since I have such a low income they were getting bored with me, based on that I still wonder why they even stuck with this for so long. And why did I? well, I covered that in other posts (look for jkindheart). Loneliness clouds judgment.

what image search engines are effectiv to search if your pictures were used in dating sites or social networks beside google search and tineye?

Gerrybeck- you can use Yahoo as a search, it gives good results, Bing, Outlook, or even type it into the URL. It has become a good idea to search a name before you even begin contact. Some of us have been stung too many times and don't wish to repeat the experience(s). It is irritating, disheartening and disgusting when you find out your contact was using stolen photos who are not just models, some are hard core porn stars. Also ask others on sites like these who may have run into them.

She told me an incredible story.
I was blinded by love, and have also sent money.
she has admitted that she is the real josie and it's past. they want to start a new life with me. they now want to live a normal life

I am sorry that you have been pulled into one of these scams, but unfortunately, there is absolutely no question that this is one.

That is a photoshopped picture. The scammer took a real picture and edited Josie into it.

Notice the lighting on Josie's face--it is clear that the photo of her was taken under completely different lighting, not the outdoor lighting that is reflected on the rest of them. Also look at the edges of Josie's hair--they are sharp, not soft. That is a dead giveaway that someone used photo editing software to carefully cut a picture of her and paste it into this one.

And the real Josie has been very clear about the fact that she is not in Africa and she is still very much maintaining (and making money from) her website.

If I had a dollar for every time a scammer told that same "it's really me, I am a sweet girl who wants to start over, blah, blah, blah" story, let's just say I'd be driving a nicer car right now. It's a very common story used by scammers when they are found out.
