Thanks for that, Jillian. Don't worry, I have and will not give anything away! I have taken the time to read all of the postings on this site and have found the advice and information extremely enlightning. I want to be sure it does not happen to me again! And if by sharing my experience in this way helps prevent others from being scammed, I'm all for it.

For me, the sharing has been a therapeutic process, by writing about what happened to me, I feel so much better about myself and sincerely hope that it gives encouragement to other men and women to do the same.

I am a military brat from the U.S. army and I'm not sure if there's any posts about things to look for when it comes to evolving military personnel.
I thought I would post a few things that will signify a warning sign.
1. U.S. Military personnel can fly anywhere oversea's for free and leave time can be requested and has to be approved. There is NO paperwork on your part at all.
2. There is no military email address with a .com it is a commercial account and anybody can have one.
3. I have never heard of a compassionate leave in my life. The U.S. can careless if your engaged or married or having a child(unless your a preganent woman then you're pretty much stuck on U.S. grounds and cannot be deployed and if you get preganent while on deployment you get sent back on the U.S. grounds under investigation.) Once you're deployed, you're pretty much stuck until you can have your leave approved after a certain amount of time. That's why a great deal of military personnel get quickly married through the district justice in order to seal their marriage and they are lucky if they get to spend a little time after their married because the majority of them have to still work and are unable to have a honeymoon. It is very hard to get a "vacation" when you're sworn in.
4. I have never heard of a foreign soldier being a U.S. military soldier. If I'm correct, you have to be a U.S. citizen in order to be sworn into the U.S. military.

I don't want to give out to much information and hope this gives some help. =)

This time he is going by the name of Major Walt Richards Un Peace Keeping Medic [email protected] and asked me to contact via this email address [email protected] to request his keave. When I checked his phone number it came up with J Moon. Sadly I didn't do this first before I paid the first part of his request, but I realised after I paid it and was asked for more the warning bells went off. He used eaxcly the same guff with me and I fell for it. The only thing that really bugs me is that there is no way of getting our money back. Anyway I hope this helps others.
