Military scams using last name "Ramos"

@beenscammed: i think we have been scammed by the same person. jason ramos. what you told about the picture in his bunk with a calendar on the wall with Oct 2010 on it. i have the same one. he contactet me on the dating platform "b2". wonderfull mails for 6 weeks and he did never ask for money. just that he could never go online on skype because his camera did not work. and i could not call him because of security reasons. i was reading his mails again and again, and i'm convinced, that there were from different persons. sometimes very clear and intelligent and others a bit confused. my heart is broken but i'm hoping not for a long time. d'ont forget that on the pictures are not the persons writing you - the mails came just from a lost brain somwere in the univers.

The real person in the photos made the mistake of leaving his personal social networking page open to anyone, and scammers took advantage of the opportunity to copy a large number of his photos to use in their scams. They have used many different names, as you can see in this discussion on romancescam.com

The person in the photos is not involved in these scams in any way, and has tried to get fake profiles using his photos removed, but scammers create new fakes faster than he can find and report them.

I feel highly overwhelmed this very night after I read your lovely mail composed with warm words. I just can't understand why this sudden change of mood in my life. I never received this mail and i think he mixed it up with someone else. Hes voice was really wonderfull - but also a fake.....

This is a very common scammer lie. Several years ago, something like this happened once -- soldiers found lots of money in an abandoned village. That money was turned over to be used for the people of Iraq. If a soldier had tried to keep the money and send it home, it would have been a serious crime. He would have been arrested, and so would anyone who helped him.

Then scammers started copying this story, pretending they are American soldiers and have found large sums of money. They are just using these lies as a way to steal money from innocent people they ask to "help" them to get the money home.

Any time someone you are in contact with tells you a story like this, you can know for certain that you are dealing with a scammer. Just drop all contact with them, and walk away.

wow! good to know about this site. until now this "GUY" is chatting with me. but when they started asking money from me, i tried to check some scam pictures. im attaching some pictures he sent to me.

For me his name is Johan Caswell - mail: sgt.m.caswell@hotmail, 54 years old, divorced 5 years ago, lost his 15 years old son at the same year in a car crash... said he is out in Afghanistan on a peace mission , been there for 8 month and are leaving in a few weeks time - he told me - 9 weeks ago ... seems very sweet loyal and very loving... until he need help with a package and the papers for that - $6200... be careful with this Ghana guy. I think he is from Ghana the lad behind those stolen pictures - got a phone number to get in contact with the "diplomatic man" having this package, gave this guy a call as promised. He was standing in Ghana Airport he said checked the number and it was from Ghana... I think I was just talking to the lad behind this... ..
By the way, what do you think he has in his package which is so important for him ? Ohhh "just" $ 4 million and a lot of very important papers so he and I can live a happy life together - in Denmark of course.. -What a story - I did believe some of it though ... So please be careful for this lad...

This idiot is using also this pics for a fake facebook profile with the name of Michael Douglas. I have warned a couple of women they were not scammed from this scammer. Regards from Switzerland

The profile alone screams African scammer. He wrote his email address out because the dating site probably has filters that flag or delete messages containing email addresses.

This Scammer using this Ramos military photo is registered on b2 Australian site as well. However he is using 2 profiles here. One is Will00123, he is using the same profile photo, but not with military uniform. He contacted me under this profile, and I immediately smelled scam, because of his english . In his second email, I finally made up my mind he was a Scammer, and told him off!!! ( ALL THIS HAPPENED JUST THIS MONTH OF JULY)

This is his first email, don't know where he gets I have a little one, as I don't have small children..
He is using the name Wilson Elias.

I GUESS THIS BLACK MONKEYS WILL JUST KEEP CHANGING THEIR PROFILES, AND THEIR PHOTOS, WELL THE SMART ONES ANY WAY... SO THE BOTTOM LINE IS DO YOUR RESEARCH, AND IF SOME OF THEM MANAGE TO SIEVE THROUGH, THE BOTTOM LINE DON'T BE FOOLED AND BE GULLIBLE AND SENT MONEY TO ANYBODY YOU MET ON THE NET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

I HAVE MORE SCAMMERS TO DIVULGE LATER ALL JUST COME FROM B2 SITE, IT LOOKS LIKE THE SCAMMERS HAVE WELL AND TRULY INFILTRATE ALL DATING SITES AND PAYING THEIR MEMBERSHIP WITH STOLEN CREDIT CARDS.. SO BEWARE!!!!!

Welcome to Scamwarners. I can understand why you did it, but we don't advise getting into a slanging match with scammers. They are criminals after all.

I am certain I am dealing with a Nigerian scammer. I got him to send me an e-mail and his IP address is Nigerian. He is using the picture of a fellow in the Army and that is disturbing. I met him on match . com and have been talking to him for over two weeks. He told me how much he loved me within 3 days. Now he hasn't asked for a thing and I keep waiting for that. The question I have since he has a Nigerian IP can I post him on this site or do I need to wait until he actually asks for something. He is back on match and I'm hoping nobody gets played by this guy.

If this fellow told you how much he loved you within 3 days, and is using the picture of a fellow in the Army, and you met him on Match.com, and his IP address is Nigeria - I would say that the odds of him being a scammer are 99.9%. Please open a new thread, title it with the scammer's name and/or email address and post up the email, including headers.
