Hallo. My name is Gerda and I am from South Africa. I was scammed by the man who called himself Jordan.
Because I have never encountered a scammer before and I was pretty much new to all the dating sites I did not realize this man was a scammer until it was too late.
He managed to convince me to send him money and I lost close to 13000ZAR (about 1400$ at that time). I can do nothing about that But I can try to warn other woman to be really careful of this man.
I believed everything he told me until I have sent the money and he tried to get more money from me, going so far as to go on video chat, that’s when I noticed that he did not look like the man in the photos and the tattoos on his arm also did not look the same. When I confronted him about this, he started to threaten me and my family, telling me that should I try to do anything he will come to my home and kill me and my mother, with whom I am living, then he will find the rest of my family and kill them too. I was afraid he would do good on his threat because by then I had already given some of my personal information. Again I could do nothing about this; I could only try to protect myself. I went to the police station, explained my situation and asked them to keep a record of me placing this complaint of possible physical harm from this man, so that should anything happen to me or my family, they would know where to start looking. I kept a record of the affidavit as well.

I would also like to warn all the ladies out there that the following man could be the same scammer or perhaps somebody else; so please do be careful and be on the lookout for him as well. He gave me pretty much the same story as Jordan and thankfully I immediately knew he was a scammer and I told him as much. "Samuel Alvez" [email protected]>

I am not sure about the following; [email protected]; but I have spoken to this man on a couple of occasions, he made me believe he was very well off and that his daughter is in the United States. He never asked me for money, but he suddenly stopped talking when I started to ask very pertinent questions, like what does he do for a living ext.
Now I am very careful about who I accept to chat with. I get there email address and do a spot check.
Thank you for putting this site on. I just wish it was there when I needed it, because when I did a casual spot check on Jordan, this site did not exist yet.

Good report and it will help others avoid being scammed. I am sorry you lost money and hope it has not been too damaging for you. Once you discover tell scammers nothing and just vanish.
Dont worry about the threats. Nothing will happen. Just be glad you have an angry scammer. It is a good reason why anyone should vanish as soon as they know. It leaves the scammer confused.

Now he has another name I meet him on badoo.com untill now he haven't ask for anything but I google him and that is how I came to this site. We chat but I know he is scam so I just play too but for future here is his new yahoo messenger [email protected] the picture that he been sending to me are the one that you have so be careful ladies.

These are the contacts that were used on Match Affinity. He has now set himself up on Zoosk and has various Facebook pages under numerous names. Lots of poetic emails will be sent, messages of undying love for you, wants to visit -can come within two weeks, children Susan and Sam live with his sister in London, he drives a BMW is age 50 birthday 17th March. Will ask if you like flowers or a teddy bear.........and I spent 8 weeks chatting til I doubted him then he ceased contact - BE WARNED - he may not be the only one out there ladies.

Hi nungtlkar, thanks for coming to scamwarners and letting us know this scammer is still active. I see you spent some time communicating with this scammer. Are you doing ok? Usually by the time you have done that, they have done some damage by making promises they can never keep, telling you they love you, etc. I'm not sure if you ended up sending him money or if you caught on before that happened. If you did, that's great but there are those of us who it took longer before we understood what was happening.
Let us know if we can help you further. As a former victim, I know the pain of letting go of the hope and care a scammer can give. You don't miss the lies, you miss what you thought was the truth.

Hi Jaystar123, if you are in contact with the scammer, please stop communication with him. They like to change emails and addresses once they are known and spread themselves around. Thank you for posting the information here. i hope you didn't get too far with this scammer. If so, let us help you in any way we can.
