Yes, i know 214 is not a houston #, it is a dallas #. He told me he lived in dallas before moving to houston. He told me he lived on gibson st, close to the pearl bar in an apt. He sent alot of pics of a guy in a blk mercedes SUV. I am glad i didnt waste much time talking to him. If ppl dont want to meet then i end communication since i dont need an online pen pal.

It is possible he has connections with the Malaysian police. It is also possible that he was alerted to the thread here, and that's how he knew you contacted the police. We make threads searchable here so that other potential victims can find them and learn the truth--but, sometimes those victims find the threads, and confront the scammers with a link. On occasion the scammers simply find the thread themselves, though it is much more common that a victim alerts them.

Can you post the email address the "police" used?

I used '[email protected]' and I has got the reply from a private mail box. I have contacted them also on Facebook and they told me to do not answer mails sent from private addresses. Anyway, they did not react to my problem.

The private mail box would belong to a scammer, which is why the police have told you not to respond. Please post that address here to alert others.
