KRM1978 do you know what I just realized I posted on my Facebook page before I try to make it private so that everybody can see that someone was using my pictures posing as Fernando Hernandez on dating web sites trying to scam women for money. Also I posted the URL link to scam worn showing my pictures and everything that you guys had and that's how he found out about it so everybody on my friends list was able to see the website our website of a scamwarn and they saw what was happening that's how he found out about it. That is why he asked you to delete it. :laugh-s: :oh-joy:  :yikes:  :bondage: :=) :=)

Glad you got it sorted.

The warning was a good idea, and if you have now blocked his access to your photos, he won't be able to pull any new ones.

When a scammer makes that much effort to try to get the posts about him killed, it is usually because he is losing (or in danger of losing) victims over those posts and he is not happy about it.

Frankly, we like our scammers unhappy and unsuccessful.

It has been awhile but thank you for checking it. I completely redid or my wife redid my facebook and changed the address and all the privacy settings so that just confirmed it for me thank you. I will say I believe or I have a feeling I know who this person is. I was friend requested on Facebook a while back from a soldier who said he new me. Now ive been in for over a decade and a half and so ive worked with so many people so I honestly guessed I just didnt remember him. I but as time went by I can honestly say I have no recollection of him at all.. he said he was deployed and ive asked him for his address several times so I can send him a care package but to this date I haven't received his address. Also he did once ask me for money to help his mom because he lost his wallet in Afghanistan were he is deployed. I said I could not help him so I didn't. Also one time he did ask me to skype so I could give some words of encouragement to his soldiers since im a Christian. I found that strange necause he asked me or tried to get me to do specific things like touch my nose or put my hand up. It was for me to prove I was who I said I was according to him. So im going to dig a little deeper to feel him out. I get the name he is going by and see if it matches anyone on here. Thx again and God bless

Glad you got your Facebook sorted. It's sad that people should have to worry about their photos etc. being stolen, but unfortunately, the reality is that these scammers will take whatever they can get their hands on, and they don't care who they hurt in the process.

From your description, it was indeed a scammer. Of course he couldn't give you an address, because he is not a soldier. He is an African man collecting tools for his scams. The skype part is a bit disturbing, actually, because it shows a level of planning that is not very common in these scammers. He wanted you on skype so that he could record the session and use the recording to create fake webcam. As more people become aware of fake webcam, more are also learning to ask the person on the other side to perform a specific action (like touching their nose) to show that the webcam is real and not recorded. The scammer was trying to get you to perform these actions so that he could record them, and then use the recorded actions to "prove" to victims that he is really you.

While I can understand wanting to research this guy, it is important that you block his access to your FB, because if he is "friend" he can still access the things you are trying to protect. If you do have it, providing the FB profile he used to approach you will help as well.

Email address change and name change. Using same photo's and basic script. Now saying Puerto Rican and Russian after reading this thread. Only a Nigerian scammer will be over seas with this length of time. Once you read this whole thread and see the IP below, you still have doubts please read here. http://www.army.mil/article/130861/Army ... nce_scams/

If he was real why would he constantly change his name and email address.

A poster in this thread has stated that his photo's were stolen from him. The poster also stated he is married and out of the military.

If you receive a PM or email from anyone other than an Admin, Moderator or Scamwarner please check their email address in their signature. If you have any doubts report it here.

Bryon,
I too was fooled by this liar since May 2014 right up until today. This freak will tell you he lives in Fountain, Co and works out of Fort Carson army base. He is very good and will webcam with you so you will think he is for real. He especially looks for intellectual types and can converse about computer programming and firearms just to name a few topics of conversation. He claims to be in Nigeria with the military hunting Boko Haram. After he strings you along for a few months he will suddenly lose his ID and claim he is sick and needs to go to the hospital. He will even know the medical names of parasites. He will send you flowers. He knows a lot about military procedures and military lingo. I finally put it all together because he made the mistake of telling me about his recent promotion to master sergeant. I reviewed the promotions list on army times from May 2014-January 2014 and guess what? No Dennis Hernandez. So that prompted me to dig a little more and I came across your website. The pictures of Fernando match the pics I have of Dennis Hernandez and even adds to the gallery of pics already identifying this person as a soldier. Please beware of this person because denreynaz is on Christian Mingle, The Fort Riley , KS golf dating website, Yahoo messenger, and Google plus. Oh yeah, he is pretending to be of Russian heritage as well as Latino. Thank you for this most important webpage!

Welcome to Scamwarners Iwasfooled,

I am glad you found us. Scammers never spend their own money. The flowers that were sent to you was bought with a stolen Credit Card.

The webcam sessions were fake. Advanced scammer have learned how to do this. You even mentioned that he may have some knowledge of the Military.

This scammer is learning his trade from search engines and victims correcting him.

What these scammers do not know is that the Military will provide Medical care for him and his family. He does not need an ID to be cared for. The military will provide internet and phones. Military members have access to their money.

Any Military member in Africa searching for Boko Haram will not not be telling an internet girlfriend.

Real Military members do not have the time to be on dating sites. Their limited time will be spent with family back home.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Bryon,
Thank you for your reply! What is so alarming to me is that this scammer has the patience of Job and will wait several months to do his damage! Yes, I should have gone with my gut instinct that this was wrong. I have researched this person numerous times after things just didn't add up but just did not take my research far enough. I will try to post the pics that I received because they are different than the pics on the "Fernando" post and would be of some use to help warn others.

Thanks again!
