That was the exact story/letter I got. Anyway, he was back on okcupid so I called them and explained. They won't allow anyone with those pictures on they said.

He's operating as Parker Cruz Hamer now. He was on okcupid until I forced him to take his profile down!
I was almost dupped but something didn't feel right from the beginning.
His email he is using now is [email protected]

He also has a Facebook page
He doesn't use it at this point. But it's there

I just wonder who the guy in the photo is? Is he a dead American soldier? That would be sad.

Anyway - he was pretty good - English was good - on text. His story was that he had just moved from Fort Irwin CA to Tacoma Wash Fort Lewis and was in training and that's why he couldn't call on the phone - he was under "restriction".
His phone number he is using is 760 383 2265
The number was registered to a carrier in Fort Irwin so that checked out.

Quick check on whitepages shows:

VoIP - Google Voice
(760) 383-2265 is suspected spam
Spam Level3/4

So in reality, the number doesn't check out. It's very easy to register a VOIP number with fake information, and the number can be used by a user virtually anywhere.
