Yes, there is a simple tool online where you can find out in which country a telephone is appearing to be. I have to note, this is no secure method! There are telephone redirect services that will appear to be in another country but transfer the calls to somewhere else. I'll PM you the site.

Some of them are aware of this and from time to time we have a scammer visiting which then tries to convince us they're real, but in general not too much scammers know. We do try not to educate those that do read these forums though :D

I do question how they screen their members,

They most likely do not do any screening at all, they will rely on members to report them and then take action to delete their profile.

of course, the scammer will simply join back up with a slightly different name.

Hello swissmiss
When I read the name Cole Peterson, this individual is mentioned elsewhere in the forums. It could easily the same scammer using differing images such is the slippery nature of their fraudulent activities.

While you may be right, it is a very common name for scammers so it is difficult to be sure without comparing IP and some emails, to give you an idea, a search on

"Cole Peterson" scam

Shows over 600 results, it is unlikely they are all in regards to the same scammer.

You can see the search result If you right click here and select "open in new window"

So enough about me and some more from you. Amongst Respect, Money, Fame or power, which would you rather have lots of? If you had three wishes, what would they be? and What is the most adventurous thing you've ever done? what do you like to do when you stay at home for the evening? watch TV? clean? talk on the phone? read?

These questions and answers are all copied from eHarmony

I reported Elite Partner that I had been scammed by the person using the above pictures and going by the name Cole Peterson/ Maguire. The person has been removed and up until today I have not heard of him anymore..... Thank you so much for helping me out in this matter.
