Shasta it looks like broken links. I don't know why. If it is scamwarners it may be a site fault for now. It has run out of bandwidth, it says , so links are broken until it gets it's new allocation. Maybe at the start of June ?

This man contacted me on Facebook and he said his name was Adam Smith and working for the U.S. Army. He says he is 45 years old, his wife died in a car accident a few years ago, he has a 10 year old son who lives with his grandmother in the U.S.. He has a house in Miami, Florida, but he also spend time at his house in Texas. Currently, he serves as a Sergeant in Kabul, Afghanistan. He seemed very nice and I was flattered by his messages...
I felt sorry for him when he told me how hard he had it in Afghanistan with all the killing... He wanted me to send money to him via Western Union so that he could buy a phone (so he could call me and hear my voice... ) and food to eat. Luckily, I searched on the internet to send money to a soldier in the field and I found this Page... lucky for me!!! I played along with him for a while to be 100 % sure that it was a scammer I was dealing with ... and after a while it came... he wanted me to ask for his leave from the military so that he could visit me in Sweden ... Yes!! He is a scammer!

He changed after a while picture on Facebook to this:
http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/p691/Degas472/Skaumlrmklipp2_zpsfcce43e4.png

This picture he sent to me when we was chatting :
http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/p691/Degas472/Skaumlrmklipp3_zpse22f7f85.png

I do not think it is the same man in all three pictures, or what do you think ...

I can not help wondering who the man on the first picture is ... but I will probably never know :( Just hope he's okay! He will probably continue to be in my thoughts for a while...

He is a prolific scammer but could we have the links to the sites profile please. The photos this scammer uses are everywhere. The person in photo one is not same person.
Email addresses are also needed.

Okay I have contacted the real SSG Todd again...thank God he is understanding and a good guy. That Nichols P Todd account will be down from Facebook in a day or so.

The one that Degas posted I will start working on. Began can you send me the originals without the scammer tag on them so I can send them to a few friends that are in Psyops (since thats the patch he is wearing). Maybe they will know him or how to reach him.

Here's the link to Adam Smith page on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/engineeradam.smith

Should I contact Facebook and tell them that the account used by a scammer? He seems to only have female friends, some of them (or all of them...) surely have been victims of his fraud :(

Unfortunately, I never got any mailadress from him when we only had contact through the chat...

USArmyRetired! I can send a pm with the original pictures to you this afternoon (Swedish time) when I have access to my computer where I have the pictures.

It is impossible to report anyone as a scammer on "Fakebook" I am afraid. You can report for a number of reasons none of which include the reason you like. If you are able you can possibly get the email address from the scammer, but tell him nothing and don't mention this posting.

I would like to share my experience with a military imposter who TRIED to scam me out of almost $1000.00 for a military leave. I encountered him on a dating site I had joined about 5 weeks ago. I started to get the feeling that he was too good to be true when his profile dissappeared 2 days after he gave me his email and phone #. His profile said N.J. but then states he is active military in Afghanistan til Nov. 2013. Widower with a 7 yr old being cared for by an elderly nanny in Az. Suddenly his tour is extended to 1/10/2014 and wants me to request a leave for him to come home to see me and his son. Not knowing I agree and send the email. While I'm awaitinfg a reply I do a little background check on his name and come up empty he doesn't exsist. His excuse was he's on a high priority mission so of course there are no records of him. I wasn't born yesterday. I got a response from "The Army" about the leave being granted and than the cost to send him and where to send the money. To a woman named Melanie Roberts in Alabama. That is when I found this site and I see the same papers to download and from the same General Stanley/ John Allen. I played it off with the guy telling him I'll contact my cousin in Cali. who's on leave to see if we can get him home for free. I got text messages telling me not to do it I'LL RUIN HIS MILITARY CAREER AND HIS LIFE. I told him I know a scam when I see it and I tracked his IP address to a apartment complex in Redmond ,Wa. Needless to say I have not heard from him since. Who do I contact with his email and phone # to stop him from doing this to someone else?

Microsoft has servers in Redmond. The IP you found would have been Microsoft's servers, not the scammer's location. He could be anywhere in the world, but statistically is most likely to be in Nigeria, Ghana, or Malaysia.

As to posting him, the best thing to do is to start a new topic on him. Post his email address, phone numbers (which will almost certainly be magicjack or VOIP numbers if they appear to be US numbers) and the first couple of emails he sent you. Also post the email address used for the phony "leave request" and the email message around it. These particular emails (first ones and the leave storyline) are the ones that are most likely to be scripts that will be used again and again, which is why posting them will help others.)

Hello, I recently joined Scamwarners.com and I am glad that I did, recently I have been texting a wanna-be soldier, who states the following: (and I feel he is not real, because he doesn't talk too good English, broken language) see for yourself. I feel he has stolen a soldier's identity, and anyone who does that, needs to be shown for the person they really are. Here is the introductory letter I received from this Captain who professes to be Captain Robero Crespo, but he goes by the name of Thomas Ryan. His gmail address is: [email protected] and he has asked me to send a letter to the department of Army Services at armymail.com and to ask for a leave for him, so he can come back to the states. Here is the letter:

Ryan Thomas
My Little history. I'm Capt roberto crespo. I'm 45yrs old, I'm 5'9' Ft Tall, I'm currently serving the US Army, I'm presently in Afghanistan now in camp Blackjack. I had been in the service now going to 20yrs. It has been my dream since I was young to serve my country and am happy I made it a reality. I lost my Dad 15yrs ago. He was a nice father and brother to me.I am a Combat Engineer specialised on Combat,Acuri C-130 and other war planes maintainance,I am a 25 Uniform (25U), which is a Signal Support Systems Specialist,As a 25 Uniform my job description entails working on radios. If a radio goes down it's my job to find it and fix it or send it to the right people to fix it My personality is outgoing and I have a good sense of humor. I am a kind and very tenderhearted person. I am loving, in fact I sometimes think that I love to deeply when I love someone. I am a very honest person.
I am too trusting at times and I am loyal to my companion and friends. But, I do have a streak of impatience at times which is not a good trait, but I am doing much, much better at being patient. It takes a lot of prayer for me in that area. Oh, and I am a romantic at heart. I love romance. There is a place where you can go dance without the drinking, smoking, cursing and all that going on.. I like that. It's terrible that a lot of men curse and drink far worse than i could imagine.. I think a man should act like a man. I want to be respected for being a man. I like to act, dress and look like a guy.

I found him on mocospace.com I can paste a photo, but i have to go back and copy it. He sends me instant messages on gmail. Please tell me if this guy is a scammer or what. How disappointing to find out people will use the United States soldiers for their own monetary use. Thank you.
