I text him and just said sorry I will delete everything and never text that number again. He calls me and starts reaming me a new one saying I need to start going to church and asking me what's is going on with my life that I'm sending a minor nudes. Told me he was trying to keep his wife from going to the cops but it's going to take some time because she had a panic attack and had to go to the hospital. He calls later and says we can do 2 things. 1) my family and his family can meet athe the police station and let them handle it or 2) I can send him 700 to cover a plane ticket to send his daughter back to south Carolina to live on a farm with her grandparents but that she also has to go to therapy in new York. At this point I was very flustered and actually senthe him $200 via money gram at Walmart. He tells me he got the money but to check in with him everyday by texting him in the morning and say "checking in" until I can pay the rest of the money... I did some research today to find that this was a scam and I'm kicking myself in the ass for not searching this before sending the 200. I showed him what I was reading and said "isn't it crazy that everything your asking me to do is the same thing from this scam?" And he said he's a 40 year old trying to raise a family and doesn't have time for games (but everything was in broken English and bad grammar, complete words were missing from sentences as well, even when I was talking the the "daughter"). I said I think you are trying to scam me and that we are done here. Then he tried threatening me with court and said I hope that website can keep you out of jail...then he said don't be crying when the cops come to pick you up... so from what I have read I will be expecting a call from the "authorities" asking me to just send money to this person....needless to say I have blocked the number and have not sent and more money... he said his name was Robert, daughter was emily. I don't remember the pof account name (cancelled my account) but the number for the father is 843-267-8273... I deleted the text with the "daughter" but the number was similar.. when the father called it came up as South Carolina.
I had the same thing happen, with the 843-267-8273 number. "Her" name was Emily Peretti and the "father" was Derek Peretti. He said his wife was in the fetal position all day after seeing the pictures and sent their daughter to Tennessee. Her POF account is wbemi so beware if you see it out there.
