This site exists solely to help prevent people from being scammed. How is it dreadful to anyone except scammers?

The problem is, we have seen scammers threaten victims on more than one occasion to get the victim to take back their story, so that doesn't mean a whole lot.

The last thing any of us want to do is hurt an innocent person. I'm sure if you answered a few simple questions that establish your identity is real, the administrators would have no issue with removing you from this site.
