Blackmail and Extortion are illegal . As already determined by other victims who reported before you , ignoring it is only a temporary solution . YOU NEED TO REPORT THIS TO THE IC3 AND YOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT . This isn't a chat room here . You've been given advice many times . Now take action and do what you need to do .

Same as almost everyone here.
Connected on POF-username Gogogetit (deleted).
Talk some, move to cell. Asks for photos. I provide nothing unclothed. Then tells me they're 16, at which point I cut contact. They text back a few days later asking if I wanted to hang out, and then some borderline explicit photos. I decline, once again, referencing age.

Fast forward to today-where I get a very angry phonecall from father saying that his daughter was suspended, he found our texts (in which I never stated anything explicit, or even remotely sexual), and he's going to have to send his daughter to South Carolina for treatment, and his wife demanded he press charges. He said since he was the, "man of the house," the final decision was his, and he wanted to work with me-so if I'd pay for her treatment ($3600), he'd let the whole thing drop.

I stalled for time ("I live out in the middle of nowhere, I need to drive to a Western Union location), and in my research, found this thread.

Since then, I've changed phone #, and deleted my social media presence. Of course, that may take some time to percolate through the internet and everything vanish completely.

Phone #'s used to contact me:
3342198626 (research shows as being on Pinger/Sideline.us)
8644251404 (South Carolina, Sprint Cell #)

Clarity note-the scammer sent borderline explicit photos. I sent nothing of the sort.

I have received the same scam through pof. Father calling the next day claiming his 15 year old daughter, upset wife and wanting to handle it "in house". Says some story about catching the daughter and needing to take her to the hospital and me paying the bill. Southern sounding voice using the phrases "wife want you locked up" and "sir" very often. I have yet to hear from the supposed police yet. Lol. But heads up, the numbers I have received had not been posted yet so I figured I might help the next guy. 864-207-8034.... 864-200-0250......407-885-2724. Looking for money to be wired to marinda Simpson in, SC.

Victim Report via PM from a very scared victim . Same scam as :

October 28, 2016

http://www.scamcallfighters.com/scam-ca ... 52710.html

Scam Phone Number 8036087116, Will text you nude pictures of a girl & then "dad" will call Extortion.

pof.com profile. Will text you nude pictures of a girl (who appeared to be legal, has tattoos), and profile age says 19. Next day a "lawyer" will call saying her dad wants me in jail for talking to his underage daughter. I didn't send any nude pics, but he still gave me another number to call. He found my online alias so I knew it was a scam. Beware. The number that called was 515-200-3449, and the number to call the "girls father" is 864-901-8738

So this "girl" sent me a nude with no face and she told me prior that she was 17;however, I did not request the picture. I got a phone call from her "father" any suggestions?

Delivered to my Inbox .

Hello. I think I was involved in a scam yesterday. I saw this girls profile on pof and it said she was 18. Her name is Libby. So I gave her my number. We texted a little bit and she sent me a picture of just her face so I sent one of just my face. She then sends me a video of her doing inappropriate things. We talked a little after that and the next day we talked dirty a little bit. The day after that I get a call from an attorney or someone. I dont really know because of how choppy the phone call was. Basically they said she was actually 16 and how I can be charged with child pornography, how I can have a warrant out for my arrest and prison time. Im sorry if I'm being vague but the phone call was very choppy so I only caught bits and pieces. But he said I should call the father and said to get a pen and paper to write down his number but then said he couldn't give it to me and that he would have the father call me. He hangs up and then 10 minutes later the father calls me. He doesn't say much and I tell him my part. He starts going off saying how i don't give a damn. I could barely hear what he was saying after that so Im going to do the best I can to tell you what was said. He stated that her mother found out and now the daughter is in the hospital because of the mother and that he doesn't want to get the courts involved because it would cause to much trouble and could affect her schooling. He was also saying how her counselors noticed and that if they got involved it would be bad for me. Then we hung up. Shortly after the so called "attorney" tires calling me again but I ignore his calls and block his number and the fathers number. Im worried because the "attorneys" phone number had the same area code that I have. I tried googling the number and it came up with nothing. The fathers phone number was out of South Carolina. The "attorneys" number was 515-493-7141 and the fathers number was 864-901-8738.

She/he emailed me a list of all my fb friends. Will post the video. Must pay we agreed 50 dollars. From reading here it probably will not stop. I dont know. I understand i should deactivate my account. I will. But this person has all my friends. If my account is deactivated the person could post on their websites. Any advice here? Thanks

I sent intimate photos/video to my scammer or he says he recorded my activities on webcam, and now he is threatening to publish them. What can I do?
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. The only advice we can give you is not to give in to blackmail demands, and once again, cut off ALL contact with the scammer. If he cannot reach you, he cannot blackmail you. If he knows that he has power over you, he will continue to abuse that power and demand more and more money. He may promise to destroy the photos/video, but remember he is a liar and a thief, and his promises are worth nothing.

The truth is, in most cases the scammer will not follow through with this threat, because following through will cost him time and money. If he tries to post anything pornographic, most public sites would delete it anyway. In the unlikely event that he does post something, you need to be proactive and contact the site immediately to have it removed. Depending on the threats, you may want to file a report with law enforcement.

Just remember for the future that any photo or video you give to ANYONE is out of your control, and anything you do on webcam can be recorded. This particular issue is not exclusive to scammers - the internet is full of stories of angry people who posted intimate details or photos/video of ex-partners after a relationship ended badly.

I joined POF and started talking with a woman (http://www.pof.com/viewprofile.aspx?pro ... =130524040) claiming to be 30 years old and at no time was I aware of the other party being a minor. Later that day, I received a phone call from a man claiming to be the "father" (Mr. Brown) and claiming that the person I was sexting with was a minor. He was willing to handle this without the police if I paid for a "broken laptop". This gentleman had also been talking with an "investigator", but I've not had any uniformed police officers visit my home. Had I not discovered this website, its possible that I would've been another victim of a horrible scam. The number used was (803) 391-9532.
