Blackmail Scams - Sextortion Scams

So it was a scam cause the samething happened to me today and he was like that if I pay him half of 1700 for the laptop his son damaged he will not tell him friend that's a police officer about this

No don't pay him. Even if the cop calls don't answer the phone. If you want to ensure it's a scam, other than listening to the people who've been scammed before you, if the cop calls let it go to voicemail, get his name and what police department he works at then look up their number and ask if there is an officer by that name. Chances are there is, as with mine there really is an Office xrxxxxx Lance that works in law enforcement, but he told my uncle who insisted on calling that it's the sixth call he's gotten asking about it, but said it was in fact... 100% without a doubt a scam.

It is a scam bottom line.

Never pay a bribe. Report any LEO that ask you to comply with same.

Police officers are not mediators in a crime. They will not tell you to work it out. They will not over look a crime.

These criminals have no clue how our judicial system works.

Charges must be brought to a criminal judge. He must find probable cause. In some situations a grand jury. Either way a citizen can not bring charges in these situations.

This criminal wants damages to laptops, cell phones and etc. In order for this criminal to receive the damages he will have to sue you in civil court. This is not a criminal charge.

These criminals would never come out in public eye.

These criminals work on fear and intimidation.

Officer xxxxx from the xxxx Police Department is merely a name , they stole off of the internet or ????? . The fact that this is happening is pertinent information , the name is not . There are 6 Resident Internet Bots Crawling this site on a continual basis and information posted here can show up in 30 seconds to mere minutes and we don't want any names of Real People showing up here .

The information we want is the FAKE DADS ASSUMED NAME , links to any of these fake dating profiles , photos they are using , and the names of any MULES or possibly accomplices they have asked you send money to, and the contact telephone numbers . Specifically we are looking for their call back numbers . You can spoof an outgoing call but thats it.

Wanted to follow up on my post from 1-2 weeks ago. I blocked the number and did not receive any further measages. However today, i was included on a group text with 4 random numbers. It was not a south carolina number, all were based out of texas. It was a photo of a jar if candy, so i played along and said eat it all, then specified which candy. I received a call from thay number which i ignored and then he texted me asking who i was? I explained that he must have had the wrong number.. He then later texted me just my first name. I have blocked all numbers, screen shotted, and located some on Facebook. I have a feeling these are somehow related, as he knew my name. He also said i sent the picture? It just doesnt add up.. I will attempt to post screen shots of what i have found.

All numbers appear to be based out of the Houston TX area.

If you feel that strongly about it you should report it . My general opinion is that victims should change their phone numbers .

I was contacted by "amber" her profile was age 18 she gave me her number and we started texting started innocently then she sends me a nude. asks for one back i send it she says she wants to meet up and asks for my address, which i do not give. i said i would meet in a public place where we can be sure we are both who we say we are and check her ID this is where they flip calling me a child and that they don't have time for my games. i get a text saying they will meet me and she has to take a shower. Then i get the text from the father about how his daughter needs therapy and his house is destroyed over this but he doesn't want to go the authorities tells me to drive to a cvs and get a prepay card for $809 to pay for a broken tv. Its at this point I got Suspicious and contacted my lawyer. He told me to tell them I had contacted him and I will not be paying for blackmail charges. I had also noticed that all of the pictures were of a different girl, which made me question things early on, what I learned is avoid these sites and ask for weird pictures that no one would take when you start texting. I am waiting for a call from the "Police" I will ask for the officers name and ask my friends who work in the force if they are a real officer or bs.

Okay so on Dec 1 I briefly chatted with a girl on POF who claimed to be 19 on her profile. She very quickly gave me her phone number (910-305-6293) and I texted her. I'm in Rhode island and that is a north Carolina number so that's suspicious first off. She is very vague and then sends me a nude without her face in it and I do the same like an idiot though I had asked multiple times her age in which she was very condescending about. Shortly after she stopped responding to me. On Dec 3 - 2 days later I get a text from the same number claiming to be her father and that she is 15. I freaked out, called, he made me feel awful like I had ruined his family and he talked all about how his daughter had been molested and how they are a good Christian family and he really played into how sorry I felt. After a long talk he says he believes it was a misunderstanding and he needs to consult with his wife who wants me charged. Next time he calls me he says he's recording our conversation as a lawyer instructed him and he made me state my name and agree to pay 5 increments of $200 to cover a yearly donation his family makes to his church. At this point I'm just happy I can solve this without police, and he instructs me almost rehearsed to go to CVS or Rite Aid to get a green dot moneypak card and put $200 on it and text him pictures of the card and receipt. He then tells me to text that number every day to check in and after all the payments are done I need to apologize to his wife. I didn't sleep all night that night and since then I've found this thread and tossed my phone in the ocean. Please tell me I'm okay I need peace of mind. I feel like a wanted man and I just wanted to find a hot girl to have a three some with.

This is because you didn't fall for their scam as they had intended . You didn't immediately respond like they wanted you too

With a few minor variations this is the same scam as posted on the previous 32 pages .

I can pretty much guarantee with 100% certainty that this is a scam , and is the same scam as previously posted .


Can you post a link to the profile and the phone number they contacted you from ?

Also when I Facebook search the phone number it brings up a woman named Hillery with a husband and 3 infant children.

An update I can still read messages from blocked numbers on my phone, he claims he turned everything over to the authorities, and has come down to the area I live and is asking for my lawyers name and number.
