recently a LT form US Army sent a friend request in FB. His name is Albert Bret. he has a photo profile wearing a uniform. He also has few pictures out of the services. He states he's widow and has a 13 years old daughter. Something weird is about his back ground. He stated that he was adopted by a reverend in Houston Texas. He was raised by him because his parents got divorce. After all. He asked me for a phone to communicate and also if I was able to buy a lap tap and camera. He said to sent the money for western union or Money gram. Then he said his commander advised him to apply for leave. When hi asked me about it. I told him that he was not real. that he was looking for help and that I was not able to do any kind of help. he said, I want to see my daughter and meet you. I told him if you want to meet me. you will come on your own way. The weirs thing is that he doesn't have any like or comment on his pictures. Thinking to block him. As someone says before, emotionally, they play with us. I have pictures that he sent, and also the way he writes. I have lots of mistake writing, but I was not raise in us, but he said he was raised in Houston.

I'm sorry, you're dealing with a scammer. Military do not pay for leave and do not need phones bought in order to communicate. The military provides them everything they need and access to their own money.

His story is a common story used by romance scammers. Block him, make your page private and do not let on that you know he is a scammer.

Please post his contact information to help warn others.

Hi, this is for any forum including loan scammers. Tim Atem, posted not to make him aware you know it is a :scam", to block him. So at what point do you stop communication? I was in need of a low credit/bad credit loan. I was just about to send the money, until I accidentally ran into your website and joined today. I have had 3 loan companies, send me a letter of approval but I need to send 10% insurance (10,000 loan) in the amount of $1000. I sent a private message to a scam warner, where she confirmed sending money upfront is illegal in Canada. Please advise from here, if I ignore them, let them know I am trying to get money, so they won't take my personal info I have sent to them and use it against me?

Letting a scammer know that you know is not a good idea. I know that is the first reaction and I made that same mistake. He will deny it and perhaps assume a new profile and try and contact you again.

misshcan88, just ignore them. Let them think you just fell off the face of the Earth, they will just move on to their next victim when they realize they won't get any money from you.
