A current romance scammer is stealing photos of a real general and is attempting to assume his identity:

He is using this email: [email protected]

He is also sporting a forged ID card. It may look genuine to the untrained eye, but in the military community, it sticks out like a €7 bill!

please help me, I think I got scammed by this person who says his name is Salvatore Giunta, here is a copy of his ID card he gave me... thank you to tell me if it is true .... I'm really desperate ....

If he sent you an ID with photos of the person shown above, then unfortunately we don't need any more information. We can already tell you for certain that it is a scammer.

If the photo was of a different person, while it is most likely a scam, we will need a bit more information (emails he sent you, claims he made) before we can say for absolutely certain.

That ID is as fake as they come. I am sorry to say that you are dealing with an African thief, not an American soldier. The best thing you can do is cut off all contact with this fake, and post the information he is using, along with some of his emails, to warn others. Confronting him will not do any good. He will only tell you more lies, as these criminals are very experienced at saying whatever lie is necessary to help them to get the money they are after.

If you have sent any money, I am afraid that you have no chance of recovering it.

I just found 3-4 days ago that i have been scamed. Have anybody heard something about a man who claims that is Colonel Frank Cochensparger, seving at Sudan War zone? I met him first in Badoo, after that start chatting in Facebook. He never asked me for money, but he told me that i must apply for his retire permission, and gave me e-mail address of the headquarted which is based in Malaysia???????!!!!!!. address is : [email protected]
They gave me instructionas about the charges an how to pay, The amount was about 17000 USD, part of it by Western Union, part of it by bank transfer, all to Malaysia. Unfortunately I didn’t hurt before anything about all these US Military scams, i am bulgarian cityzen, and i am so far away from these information, but after that I received another mail from United NationSecurity Center “representative”- Mr. Philip Mandy, that I have to go personally to Malaysia with another 35, 450 USD to sign personally documents for releasing the benefits of Frank Cochensparger from the UN tresor i started doubting that there is something wrong.
