The truth is, in most cases the scammer will not follow through with this threat, because following through will cost him time and money. If he tries to post anything pornographic, most public sites would delete it anyway. In the unlikely event that he does post something, you need to be proactive and contact the site immediately to have it removed. Depending on the threats, you may want to file a report with law enforcement.

Same here.. chatted with an 18 year old on tagged.com, exchanged nude pictures on cell before finding out she was 16. Said she dated older men always have always will. Next day some once calls that had an extreme hillbilly accent and was very hard understanding, saying he was the police. I told him if he doesn't stop calling and that I have recorded his number for my attorney to call him back. Be wary of these scams, they are all over the internet.

Did they make any monetary demands from you ?

If possible could you post a link to the fake profile on tagged ?

I didn't go that far. I just told him that he didn't stop he would be getting a call from my attorney. Then I blocked the number.

All has been quiet for a week now after ignoring calls and blocking numbers. Today I got a call from 540-505-3107 and ignored it. Attempted to call back using *67 and got a message saying the number was no longer in service. I suspect my scammers are still lurking.

Just keep ignoring them . Don't pay them any money and they'll eventually go away . Also be sure to file your report on the IC3 Website.

I recently spoke to a "girl" on kik. I stupidly sent a nude picture with my face in it. Dumbest mistake of my life. She proceeded to send me my main profile picture on fb along with another picture of my family. The 2nd picture is what bothers me because idk how she would have gotten it. My social media pages are all as secure as I can make them. She's now demanding $1000 to get rid of them. I'm freaking out because idk how she could have gotten the 2nd picture. I messed up really bad and just don't know what to do. The person is in the Philippines and goes by the name Paula Garcia. What can I do?

Please read page one first post.

I sent intimate photos/video to my scammer or he says he recorded my activities on webcam, and now he is threatening to publish them. What can I do?
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. The only advice we can give you is not to give in to blackmail demands, and once again, cut off ALL contact with the scammer. If he cannot reach you, he cannot blackmail you. If he knows that he has power over you, he will continue to abuse that power and demand more and more money. He may promise to destroy the photos/video, but remember he is a liar and a thief, and his promises are worth nothing.

Just remember for the future that any photo or video you give to ANYONE is out of your control, and anything you do on webcam can be recorded. This particular issue is not exclusive to scammers - the internet is full of stories of angry people who posted intimate details or photos/video of ex-partners after a relationship ended badly.

Ran into one of these Tuesday. Claim to be 24 after a video chat she claims to be 15. And she wanted me send 55000 to have the video deleted. Then she went down to 50.00 wanting me to send it 2a west African hospital. Have responded to her since Wednesday. Since I didn't send her money. I hope me not responding back ends this and the threats stop.
