I don't see why dating sites don't post it up clearly that anyone asking you to make them a cash payment is a scammer, and then have a report button.

I know nothing about these places, though having said that, I've had an online relationship over several years and I sent presents but would never have sent cash under any circumstances. It is my belief that a dating site is not providing a service to its users by failing to protect them and that they are harming themselves commercially by allowing 'sharks' to abuse their sites and other users.

I've noticed from various reports that scammers like to separate their victims from the dating sites as quickly as possible after contact, presmably due to the risk that other users will expose them.

Yes, you are right about dating sites not really providing services the are advertising for. It is their responsibiklity to provide proper check up of submited profiles to avoid harm to their customers. They do not do that. I do not think their employees work for free or just it is a charity work. They are paid to do so. They relly on us , victims to do their job for them and report any kind of scum to them and eventuialy they do react or they just ignore complains. I have had quite a nasty exhange with Military Companions where for a FEW WEEKS ALL AND i MEAN ALL PEOPLE CONTACTING ME WERE SCAMERS AND IT WAS CLEARLY VISABLE FORM THE FIRST MOMENT. Why should we do their work for them? I won't be back to the agency which compromise my safety and put my financial, emotional and phisical wellbeing into serious risk.
I won't be doing any internet dating any more anyhow.
