I am looking for info on David Mcmanaman. He is trying to romance me. He claims to deal in gems and oil refinery. He also claims to be Australian and British. I am beginning to think something is wrong.

Hello Kocavacina!
That does sound like a common things they use, however without more information we cannot be for sure.
How did he approach you? Are you communicating through emails or some form of instant messenger?
If you can post the messages or emails you have recieved from him, or pictures that he is using, we would be able to tell you more.
Meanwhile - here are couple of things you can look for yourself
[*] Has he fallen in love with you in suspiciously short time? (a couple of days and he loves you already?)
[*] Can you find his messages/emails on Google?
[*] Is there any incostitency between his name and his usernames? (Name claims to be David, but username or email can be "michael" for example)
[*] Did he give you his phone number? If so, is it really phone number where he claims to be? (Australia or United Kingdom - beware - for United Kingdom if the number is +44 070, +4470 or similar it is not a legitimate UK number
[*] Has he mentioned being short on money or having to pay anything? (pay the rent, internet connection, gifts for you, shipping etc.)
If the answer to any of these is positive, then you are most likely dealing with scammer, however - if you have a feeling something is wrong already, than there probably is. But since you have a feeling there is something wrong already, I would trust your guts.
