I have been in contact with someone who claims to be in the United States Army his name is Major Wade Briener he is in Afaganistan. I have done research on my own but I can not find his photo anywhere. Nor his name. But I have had red flags. He asked me to apply for leave so that he could come here with me to plan our wedding. Well two days later I get an email approving the request. But there is a processing fee of 750.00. Which has to be paid before he can leave. He has been pressuring me when I will send it to a point where he just become mean.Even saying he would shoot himself in the head. I tracked his email address with one of the tools listed on your site. It said Lagos Nigeria. I flipped out on him and he said that is the military for you. He asked how I tracked him. But I didn't tell him. I did it 3 more times now it's coming from the United States. I have already wired him 160 .00 dollars already. I know I am stupid. But this guy is good and I am in love with him. But I need help if this is a scam and I want further contact with him. I hang on every word he texts he has an accent small spelling errors. And the way he texts no American talks like that. I have confronted him and it just starts an argument. Please help I'm supposed to wire the 750. On Friday.

It is 100% a scam.

The initial IP was correct "Nigeria" when you confronted him he started using a VPN to change his IP.

The accent is of an West African male.

The grammar is because he was not educated in the Western world. A Major in the US Army will not keep making grammar errors. Major's are college educated and commissioned by the President of the US.

Military members do not pay for leave. This is something that West African scammers have made up.

Leave is earned and free to all service members. No one can request leave for a military member except him/her. His mother, father, wife, children nor internet girlfriends can do this. No one but the military member would ever have contact with his chain of command.

Military members have access to their money, do not pay for flights home, do not pay for medical, do not pay for phone or internet.

If you confront him he will continue to lie. He will even be mean or use religion to steal your money.

Please read the Army's warning about this>> http://www.army.mil/article/130861/Army ... nce_scams/

Be so kind to post his fake name, email address, text number and pictures so others may now find him while searching.

He more than likely has other women currently on the hook.

Please stop all contact with the thief. Do not explain anything to him. Just disappear.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

is this criminal telling you he is with a US Armed force?? There are no US Armed Forces in Nigeria now. Boko Harem issue was settled months ago. Lagos is on the other side of Nigeria, anyhow.

We can only advise you to stop communicating with this criminal. what you do is your choice. If you want to send your hard earned money to a liar and criminal that will never make good on any of his promises ( and you all ready know lies to you), then that is your choice.

Would you at least post the email address and phone # of this criminal, so that others who do not wish to be taken in by his lies can be warned of him??

Help Getting Leave scam

In this scam the fake soldier will tell you that he would like to meet you but in order to do that you will need to make an application for leave which will require a fee to be paid.
You will be introduced to other characters played by the scammer, supposedly his superiors or other government officials, who will tell you that fees such as a "replacement officer fee" need to be paid (often by Western Union or Money Gram) to various departments or officials such as Department of Defense or Homeland Security.
After you pay the fee, the scammer will give you a new reason as to why he can't be with you, requiring you to send even more money to overcome this fictitious obstacle. This cycle will continue as long as the victim is willing to pay.

Important facts to note about Military leave:

Military leave is not bought. There are never fees to be paid before leave will be granted.
A visit to a boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancee would not qualify as emergency leave.
An outside person can not apply for leave for someone in the US military. Only the soldier can apply, through official military channels.

If you are corresponding with someone who claims to be from any branch of the US military, and he asks you to complete ANY military forms, or you are contacted by any "military official" in relation to him/her, it is a scam.
