[email protected] Scammer - Lagos, Nigeria

I really dunno why I like IMing people who tries to add me...Perhaps its because I enjoy seeing what they have to say and catching them lie.

I was told a long time ago that if a person lies so much they wouldnt know reality from the other and often times they wouldnt know how to put together all the lies they have spun.

Day 1:

I asked the guy his name and he said "loraine" (isnt that a girl's name?)
He said: he is an architect
I said : am an interior designer

after a while of chatting: (1am we ended the chat)
He said:well one of the reasons was worried today was because I will be
leaving on a business tomorrow and needed talk to u but need my
rest now too or won't catch my flight. I will go with my laptop so
can talk to u.
I said : ok have a safe trip.

Day 2: (after 13hrs)

He said: i just arrived.
I said : arrived where?
He said: i told u i was travelling out of the umited states to africa.
I said : u never told me u were going to africa.
He said: i am in africa now with my son.

(hmmm...he said his son was 18 and he has to bring him there too???)

He said: i would love you to tell me more about u hon.
I said : what about u telling me more about urself? what are u doin in
africa anyway?
He said: am here for a contract
I said : ur doing what there in africa? what kind of contract?
He said: i am an architect
He said: i was given a bridge contruction project
He said: so i am to take charge of the structure.

(I have decided to throw him off this time)

I said : what kind of architect are u anyway?
He said: i am also described as a structural engineer
He said: Hope you would understand that better.
I said : that is 2 different things.
He said: i know
He said: its similar to that
He said: am an architect based on building plan
I said : so are u telling me u took 2 different major courses in college?
He said: Lol
He said: i never said so
He said: i thought u should know much about these
I said : yeah i know that is why am askin u

(then he decided to shift topics and ask me about my job)

...I guess he didnt know that a structural engineer is different from an architect although u would have some units in strength in materials but that does not mean ur already a structural engineer...heck i took up that unit and i am not an engineer but an interior designer...lol

Yes, there is a huige difference between an Architect and an engineer, from a builders perspective there is not so much difference

Something I suggest for future chats with lads is avoid picking up on mistakes, many people would realise those occupations are different and it may well be enough to make them realise that all is not well.

Sometimes it is good to actually pick them up on things that are real.

We prefer to let them keep making those mistakes

right, gotcha Ralph, would keep that in mind. i'd let them make all the mistakes they can and note them down for later postings here for everyone's benefit...

My unknowing subject didnt know i was tryin to track his IP Address... he kept on sending me IMs and i was completely ignoring him.

...GOTCHA!!!...one time i was able to track his IP...Lagos, Nigeria...this is one CONFIRMED Scammer....
