Actually, I really don't know how to go about this, 'cos you are just the first person. I hope you will understand if I am a little bit awkward at it. Like I said before, my name is Alvin Jones. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica on October 16, 1973 My mother worked as a high school teacher, and my father was a district marshal. I moved to the U.S at the age of 15 and i live in California all my life before i relocated to Richmond Virginia with my late wife 8years ago. I am a U.S citizen.... Being the only child of my parents, I never really did experienced the joy of companionship; which is common in other families. Life to me means friends and family, as I lost my dad at a very tender age. Professionally, and as of this moment, I work as marine engineer with APL shipping company, an America company based in (American President Lines Ltd.) is the world's fourth-largest container transportation and shipping company, with branches in Europe and some parts of Asia. Personally, my container ship transport oil and its affiliate from one destination country to another. Right now we are in NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN. My main duties is to ensure that the ship is being maintained, administered and operated to the highest standards. My work schedule is 3 months on sea and 3 months off.... in form of holidays or vacation. Inspite of my official duties, I do also engage in other businesses in our various destination countries. Daily routine work in the ship could be boring at times, but generally its very adventurous.

I am a very positive and God fearing person. An easy person to talk to and a loving and outgoing man is also an attribute that could best describe me. Naturally, I'm a family oriented person. I love children and could do funny things just to entertain them, which was one of the things I missed in my childhood stage. Despite the fact that I lost my ex wife to the cold hands of death; I'm a happy man today 'cos I have my daughter and has been able to climb to the very top of my carrier. This does not however, means I don't have some sad or depressed days. Right now, I don’t know what I’m going to do in the future when I retire as a mariner. But I don’t want to think about that much now. ‘Cos I just want to live life the way I am. I really do not know what to say here again but, I just wish to thank you for responding to me on the website. If I may turn the table around now... I'm really interested in wanting to know about what makes you what you are today. Are you married or single or into any form of relationship at the moment? Do you have any, or are you a lover of children just like me? How old are you and what kind of job are you currently engaged in?
