Welcome to Scamwarners Cass1691,
You are correct, this is a scam and everything they told you was a lie to steal your money. Please post the emails from the General and the emails asking for a payment to be sent. Include any telephone numbers that may have been used in this scam as this will help other avoid this criminal.

Do not tell them that you know it is a scam, just ignore all future emails and telephone calls. If you have any additional questions please ask.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

You can't be offered a job in the US Army unless you see a recruiter in person. No one in the US Army would tell you to send money to an individual's account in the UK or Ghana. You would not be told to pay when applying for a job. If you're told to pay anything for something military-related, you would be told to pay to a business account of the military, not an individual.

This is a scam. Please post all emails from the scammer, with complete headers, so that others can avoid it.

was it video or text?? did you save the Skype conversation (if it was text)? If so, remove your ID and copy/paste the Skype chat here. what were the Skype ID(s)?

you mean they gave you email addresses and never used them to contact you?? Please post the scripts from the emails, even if they did not request money in them. Remove your personal information before posting.

In addition to the requests above--if you have received and forwarded money, then you have helped the criminals to move stolen money.

Do make sure that you contact the authorities, and if you are in the US, file a report with IC3. Doing so will help to document the fact that you were not a knowing participant in the crime.

I did not receive or forward any money, the only money they got was mine.
As for the Skype info, this went on over 6 months, don't think you want the whole conversation do you? or just the parts where money was discussed?
