Hi to anyone reading this, I got a friend request 4 days ago from a US Military Sergeant Wayne J Hamrock and I accepted. He thanked me for accepting and we started to communicate he asked me questions and so did I which he answered. He claimed to be in the army for 17 yrs he has 1 kid 10 yrs old (Morris). He was married to the child's mother for 15 years and she passed away 3 yrs ago. He's on peace keeping mission in Kabul Afghanistan and should be promoted after this tour, and we had a nice exchange of information over a period of those four days. He sent me pictures and requested me to send for him, he even sent me a picture of his mom and dad and his older brother. We exchanged email addresses and phone numbers. But some where in our early conversation he said that only a wife or fiance can request leave for a soldier. At one point I wanted to know if all this was real because it all seem legitimate so I ask him if he is who he says he is, he sent me a picture of his US Military ID which had the ARMY Seal, bar code, pay grade, rank, issue date, expiration date, his picture Active duty and at the bottom it stated Geneva Conventions Identification Card. Oh after I saw this I was much more comfortable and more at ease.
This morning we started our usual communication and he said his leave came through and he had the paper work and he's coming to visit me. I was like WHAT!!!!! I'm not ready for that this is moving to fast. Whats your plans he said when he comes we should go to my pastor and get married, I asked if his family won't want to here for the wedding and what about his son. He said all that would be arranged I said I can't do that it's way to soon and he said don't worry my pretty angel he will get his mom to do it. Yes I was his pretty angel and baby he said he's coming to be with his Queen. So he said he's messaging his mom and me at the same time asking her to apply and she said yes. I asked him if he told her about us and he said yes her advice to him was to follow his heart and to move forward as his wife passed away three years ago.
He sent me what looked like an official army letter for the leave which stated what info I needed to have on the soldier applying for the leave and that an urgent leave cost $ 2,000. US Then I get an email from his mother stating she would apply and that she could only muster up $ 1,400.00 and ask if I could rise $ 600.00 as I am aware that she is old woman and wants to see her son, and that I'm the only woman he's talked about since his wife died. He then calls me before I could respond to his mother, first time we have a clear connection to chat. I could hear him typing in the back ground I said to him he doesn't have an American accent. He said he's from New Zealand but his mom have the American accent and if I speak with her I'll hear it but he still has his accent although he's been in the US so long but his brother is still in New Zealand as he loves it there and one day I'll see him.
All the while I'm chatting with him I was searching on the computer for info about such scams. I told him let me respond to his mom and I'll text him he wanted to know how long it will take as he was going out on patrol in a bit. I replied to her and said I'm sorry I can't help. I then message him saying the same thing. While I'm replying to him and reading the info from this website he's calling and calling, I didn't answer. He then messages and says don't let the money be a problem don't bother with that for now our love is what is important and why I'm not taking his calls. I then ask him to email me from his AKO and I never got back a reply.
Ladies please be careful and aware I live in the Caribbean I don't know much about the internal workings of the US Military I'm a single female with no kids. I really don't know how he picked me out on face book I only have one picture of myself in my profile because I really don't like that sort of things. At first it seemed all innocent and charming not to mention that the person in the pics was really cute too. He said he was a Christian and looking for a God fearing woman to spend the rest of his life with and get back to married life and a family. He sent me pics that wasn't even on his face book wall. I must say though if this was real and Sergeant Wayne J Hamrock did exist and was interested in pursuing a relationship I would be one very happy camper, this has left me disappointed and hurt, that people out there can take advantage of someones vulnerabilities and situation.
I can only thank God for his protect and his wisdom.
I really do hope this helps someone.
